Nagelsmann satisfied with "week": Winning at the start is always important

As expected, the German national football team convincingly defeated Curacao at the start of the World Cup, 7:1.

After the "Manshaft" took an early lead, Curaçao shockingly equalized. It seemed that this angered the Germans, who filled their rivals' net to the brim.

However, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann admitted immediately after the match that the "blue wave" goal had shaken them.

"It took us a few minutes to get back into the game after they equalized."

The young expert then paid tribute to Curaçao.

"Curaçao can also play football, you've seen. I'm very curious to see how they will look in the rest of the group stage."

He then reflected on his team's performance.

"I'm very pleased that we scored seven goals and generally with our performance in most of the game. Winning at the start of a competition is always important and I'm glad we succeeded," Nagelsmann underlined.
