Everything for BiH - suffered a heart attack after Italy, now cheering on the "dragons" at the World Cup

The people of Bosnia and Herzegovina have shown their love for their homeland and football many times, and another story comes from the World Cup as confirmation of that.

Omar Kuštrić suffered a heart attack after the epic play-off and penalty shootout with Italy. Fortunately, everything ended without fatal consequences, but fear for his life did not stop this "Dragons" fan.

Just two and a half months later, Omar arrived in North America, cheering for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Doctors advised him to rest, but the World Cup doesn't happen every year, and it's even rarer when many people get to see their country play.

"When I arrived with my family among our fans, I thought - we left everything behind and here we are at the World Cup," said Kuštrić, as reported by Radio Sarajevo.

BiH drew with host Canada (1:1) in the first round, and will play against Switzerland tomorrow night (Thursday) at 21 pm local time. Omar will of course be in the stands at the "SoFi" stadium in Los Angeles.

"We are a small country and there are few of us, so every success is important to us. We should, or rather must, support every individual and collective who gets the opportunity to do something visible and important on the big stage," added Kuštrić.

A large number of Bosnians and Herzegovinans have flooded the streets of the cities hosting the "dragon" matches these days.

"I see this as an opportunity to promote my homeland and we are all trying to leave a good impression on the hosts and others, as fans and people. It seems to me that we are doing very well," he emphasized.

Love for the national team and BiH seems to be stronger than fear for life.

"I'm trying to control myself a little while cheering, but I'm not doing very well. Of course I'm taking care of myself and I hope I'll come home alive and well," Kuštrić joked, as reported by the Croatian "Ofensiva".

After Switzerland, the "Dragons" will face Qatar - a win would be historic and would extend Omar's stay on the American continent. His doctors certainly wouldn't be happy about it, but this fan has shown that his life is not the same without Bosnia and Herzegovina.
