Colombia coach: I have nothing to complain about the players, sometimes the ball goes into the net, sometimes it doesn't

Colombia national football team coach Nestor Lorenzo said today that, despite the defeat, he has no complaints about his team's performance in the World Cup round of 16 match against Switzerland.

"There is nothing to criticize," Lorenzo said, as reported by El Colombiano.

The Colombian national team failed to advance to the quarterfinals of the World Cup, losing 3:4 on penalties to Switzerland in the round of 16 in Vancouver last night, after the score was 0:0 after regular time and overtime.

"I think we had 17 shots on goal today. That's a lot, really a lot, and the fact that we didn't convert them into goals has its consequences. What interests me is that the team plays well and creates chances. These are players who score goals in their leagues, they are the top scorers in the league. Sometimes the ball goes in the net, sometimes it doesn't. This World Cup has shown the impressive quality of goalkeepers," said Lorenzo.

Lorenzo thanked the Colombian fans who cheered on his team at this year's World Cup.
