During the funeral of Paolo Rossi, Italy's hero at the 1982 World Cup, his home was robbed.
The famous football player died on Thursday at the age of 64, and the funeral was held in the northeastern city of Vicenza.
Rossi's watch and some cash were stolen.
The burglary was reported to the police and the investigation is ongoing.

Rossi lived with his family on a farm in Poggio Cennino, a resort town southeast of Florence, where the fuballer ran an organic food company.
Rossi's death saddened Italy, where he is considered one of the best strikers of all time.
He scored 20 goals in 48 games in the jersey of the Italian national team - including six goals at the 1982 World Cup.
He was a goalscorer at the club level in Vicenza and Juventus, with whom he won two Serie A titles.
It was in Vicenza that a large number of people gathered to say goodbye to the football great on Saturday.
