The double scorer for the Serbian national team was Aleksandar Mitrović, who entered the game in the second half, and one goal was scored by Dušan Vlahović.
Mitrović scored a total of 38 goals in the national team and tied for the number of goals scored for the national team with Stjepan Bobek in first place.

"The first game is always the most difficult, we had a little time to prepare and I am satisfied with the great desire of the players, even though there were difficulties in the first part.
They didn't give up, they believed and after 0:1 they found the strength and knowledge to reverse the result," Stojković told Sportklub television after the game.
