Special units of the Belgian police are searching the forest areas in search of a heavily armed soldier who disappeared after alleged threats of violence.
He is described as a military instructor, and in the past he threatened virologist Mark van Ranst, who was one of the most responsible for the Belgian government's plan in the fight against the corona virus pandemic.
Van Ranst and his family were taken to safety.
The suspect is said to be armed with rocket launchers and handguns.

Police were searching a forest in the Dilsen Stoken area near the border with the Netherlands after a car said to belong to a soldier was spotted.
Heavy weapons were found in the car.
Police describe him as a "potentially extremely violent right-wing extremist".
He is said to have left letters indicating that he is ready for a deadly battle against the police and that he "can no longer live in a society where politicians and virologists have taken everything away from us".
In the past, the suspect threatened Mark van Ranst, who is considered the most famous Belgian virologist.
Belgian Justice Minister Vincent van Quickenborn told Flemish television that there were indications that he was "violent and that during the previous 24 hours there was evidence that the suspect posed a threat."
