Facebook has changed its name to Meta as part of a major rebranding.
The company, which announced the change at its annual developer conference, said the renaming decision was made to better "embrace" what it does now, as it expands its reach beyond social networks into areas like virtual reality.
She also revealed plans for the Metaverse - an online world where people can play, work and interact in a virtual environment, often using VR headsets.
The name change follows a series of negative stories about Facebook, based on documents revealed by a former employee of the company.
Frances Hogen accused the company of putting "profit before safety".
In 2015, Google redefined the company by calling its parent company Alphabet, however, the name did not catch on.
