The previously unreleased single of the British musician David Bowie was sold for slightly more than 19.000 US dollars.
Number I Want Your Love recorded in 1965, four years before the release of the song Space Oddity, his first hit in his independent career.
It sold for $19.158 (€17.000) at a specialist record auction organized by Wessex Auction House in Wiltshire on Thursday.
More than 300 bidders tried to buy the record Bowie made as a teenager with the band The Lower Third, said Wessex principal Marin Hughes.

The winner was a bidder from Britain who is "a big collector of rare items related to Bowie".
"David Bowie is one of the most famous artists of all time, so it's no surprise that this record has attracted offers from all over the world," he added.
"When I first heard yes to the track, I knew it was special and that even his biggest fans hadn't heard it.
"It's always difficult to put a price on something so unique and I'm very pleased that it has achieved a fantastic price," said Hughes.
Four years after the recording of the song I Want Your Love, Bowie's solo songs were among the top five on the charts for the first time.
He had a career that spanned decades and released 25 studio albums before his death in 2016.
