It's good whenever you exercise, but American research indicates that the time of day also affects the results of training.
The results show that there is a difference between men and women when it comes to the ideal time of day to exercise.
Women burn fat faster if they exercise in the morning, while evening workouts are recommended for men.
Potential differences occur because there is a difference in hormones, but also in the rhythm of sleep, say scientists based on research.

12 men and 30 women, aged between 26 and 25, participated in the research, which lasted 55 weeks.
One group had one-hour trainings that took place before nine thirty in the morning, while the other group had the same activities, but in the evening between six and eight.
Each participant was on a special diet.
Before starting this study, their blood pressure, body fat, strength and body flexibility were measured.
The same parameters were measured after the end of the research, in order to see if there were any changes.
The study showed that the general health of all participants improved, regardless of whether they exercised in the morning or in the evening.
"The best time to exercise is the time you can fit it into your schedule," says Paul Arcerio, Ph.D., who led the study.
However, he believes that "there is something else" why there is a difference in the ideal time for exercise between men and women.
Morning or evening training?
Women who want to lower blood pressure and eliminate belly fat should only exercise in the morning, says Arcerio.
Why?
Because fat that accumulates in the abdominal area envelops internal organs, such as the liver, and this can be dangerous.
However, this does not apply to those women who want to strengthen their upper body or simply want to improve their overall health and regulate their diet.
In that case, the ideal time for exercises is the evening.
The men who participated in the research were not significantly affected by the duration of the training.
It has been found that evening workouts are ideal for those men who want to improve the work of the heart and the entire metabolism.
Improving metabolism reduces the risk of obesity, diabetes 2, cardiovascular problems, and stroke.
It is unclear why these differences occur.
The researchers indicate that additional research is needed to gather more information.
One of the reasons why morning exercises are better for women is that they tend to deposit fat in the stomach area.
The participants of this study, published in the journal Borders in Psychology (Frontiers in Physiology) are not obese and are of normal weight, but the researchers indicate that a similar study can be done with people who are overweight or obese.
"It would be much more beneficial to them," says Dr. Arserio.
