Although it has been a week since Argentina won the World Cup, the euphoria among the population of that South American country is not abating.
Tattoo parlors in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, are in full swing and many want to immortalize the moment by inking the Golden Goddess trophy, as well as the likeness of captain Lionel Messi.
"For the next two weeks I'm overbooked and I'm only doing World Cup tattoos," tattoo artist Esteban Vucinovic from Buenos Aires told the AFP news agency.
"Some already had appointments, they wanted to tattoo skulls and snakes, but they changed their requirements and now they want the Messiah or the World Cup trophy," says Vučinović.
Currently, he says, he works with two to three customers a day.

For now, according to Vučinović, the most sought-after motif is the trophy intended for the world champion, followed by the figures of Messi and goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Along with Messi's goals and assists, Martinez's defenses were decisive in the Gauchos' quest for their third-ever world title.
Many fans were also inspired by the tattoos of the Argentinian national team members.
Angel di Maria has one of the richer tat collections on his body, and recently he also added the Golden Goddess on his right leg.
"I got a tattoo with Messi's image as a sign of gratitude," Nikolas Rečanik, a civil servant, told AFP.
"This tattoo does not only represent Messi, but also the whole team that brought Argentina the third world title, as well as the years spent in pursuit of this trophy," he explained.

Before he tattooed Messi in the blue and white Argentine jersey kissing the world champion cup on his left leg, Rečanik tattooed Diego Armando Maradona, another icon of Argentine football.
"He perfectly represents what Argentine football is and what this sport means to the whole nation," he said.
Alma Ocampo, a 20-year-old cheerleader, to the surprise of many, decided to get a tattoo after Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia in the first round.
"When the others lost faith, I decided that, if Argentina triumphed, I would get a tattoo of the World Cup cup."
"In addition, I added the date of the final - December 18, 2022. I have to admit that it was quite painful."
Ariel Saki, a physical education teacher, opted for a tattoo that represents all five World Cups in which Messi played.
In the center of the tattoo is the captain of Argentina kissing the cup.
"I chose Messi because he brought the greatest joy to all Argentinians," said Sacchi.
Not all tattoos are the same and of equal quality, and some have been the subject of jokes by users of social networks.
Among those that merited attention in the category of cute misses are the image of the chubby Messi, as well as the jerseys with misspellings in his last name.
