Rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs, better known as Pee Diddy, has been accused of rape and sexual exploitation.

In a lawsuit seen by the BBC, his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura, aka Cassie, says she lived trapped in a cycle of abuse and violence for decades.

Combs or Puff Daddy denies the accusations, claiming that the singer is trying to extort money from him.

His lawyer says the allegations are "outrageous".

Ventura, a singer and dancer, claims that the rapper raped and beat her for more than 10 years, when she was 19 and he was 37.

"After many years in silence and darkness, I'm finally ready to share my story," she said Thursday.

The lawsuit alleges that the abuse, which she describes in detail, began immediately after they met in 2005.

Cassie claims that at the time, Combs forced her to sign with his record label, Bed Boy, and that he "vulnerably lured her into drug and alcohol addiction in order to control her."

In the lawsuit, the singer calls Didi a "thug," claiming that he regularly beat and kicked her, which left her face and body bruised and bruised.

Ventura adds that she is willing to speak out for the benefit of other women facing violence and abuse in relationships and marriages.

Benjamin Brapham, Sean Diddy Combs' lawyer, told the BBC that Ventura was seeking $30 million in damages, threatening to write a book about their relationship that could negatively affect his image.

"We rejected her request because it's obvious she's blackmailing us," Brapham said.

"Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit based on baseless and outrageous lies, with the goal of defaming Sean Diddy Combs," he added.

Her lawyer said the rapper offered to pay an "eight-figure sum" to silence her and prevent her from filing a lawsuit.

"She turned him down, because she decided to give a voice to all the women who suffer in silence," he added.

Her lawsuit also alleges that the musician told her he planned to "blow up" a car owned by rapper Kid Cudi, who he was jealous of because Ventura was in a relationship with him after Combs.

Ventura says Combs told her this during Paris Fashion Week in 2012.

"Combs told Ventura that he was going to blow up Kid Cuddy's car," the lawsuit alleges, adding that "he wanted to make sure that Cuddy was at home with his friends when that happened."

Around this time, Kid Cuddy's car exploded in his driveway.

His spokeswoman told The New York Times that Ventura's statement was accurate.

During the 2000s, Cassie Ventura released several songs on which Didi also worked.

Her most famous songs are Me&U, Long Way to Go i Official Girl with Lil Wayne.
