There are different types of incentives to motivate athletes in the fight for an Olympic medal, and one of them is money.
That is why certain countries have decided large amounts of money to reward their best athletes who bring home some of the medals from the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
Serbia has also decided to open the purse, so for each gold medal won, it awards 200.000 euros, which is one of the biggest sums at the tournament.
According to available data, only Hong Kong, Singapore and Israel allocate more money for Olympic champions.
Competitors who win silver will receive 100.000, while bronze Serbian Olympians will receive 60.000 euros, which is a total ofthe largest amount of prize money in the history of Serbian sports".

Impressive million Singapore dollars for the gold medal, which is more than 690.000 euros, is also offered by this Asian city-state, which, luckily for their budget, no one in Paris has won yet.

Cash prizes for athletes and boxers
For the first time at these Olympic Games, the winners are awarded cash prizes in two sports - athletics and boxing.
The prize money does not come directly from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), but from the governing bodies of the two disciplines.
The umbrella International Association of Athletics Federations announced in April that gold medal winners at Paris 2024 will receive $50.000 for winning the competition.
