The Court of Appeal in Romania accepted the appeal of the controversial British influencers, brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate, and ordered the prosecutors to amend the indictment against them for human trafficking.

This is the second time that the court has returned the case to the prosecutors, who now have five days to amend the indictment or drop the charges.

The Tate brothers, aged 38 and 36, are accused of human trafficking and organizing a group to sexually exploit women.

They denied all the allegations.

Andrew and Tristan Tate they were arrested in Romania at the end of December 2022 accused of being part of a group responsible for rape and human trafficking, which they denied.

The Romanian police then confiscated several luxury cars Andrew Tate.

In November, the same court found "irregularities" in the indictment against them, requiring the prosecutors to amend the submissions.

The court in Bucharest then rejected several pieces of evidence from the prosecution, judging that some of the statements of the alleged victims were inadmissible.

The approval of the Tate brothers' appeal represents another setback for prosecutors.

They accused dual UK and US citizens of exploiting women through an adult content business that allegedly operated as a criminal enterprise.

In the indictment published in June last year, in which seven alleged victims were identified, two Romanian associates of the Tate brothers were also named.

Andrew Tate is a self-proclaimed misogynist and has previously been banned from social media platforms for expressing such views.

The former kickboxer has amassed millions of followers online, often spouting political messages and showcasing his own luxurious lifestyle.

He has been living in Romania for several years after previously living in Great Britain.

"They had years to build a case, and all those years they ruined my life, targeted and hurt everyone I know, and even issued a subpoena to the mother of my child.

"They have nothing against me, though," Andrew Tate said after the verdict in his favor.

He repeated that only lies were spread against him and that he will fight to expose everything and prove his innocence.

"If there isn't enough evidence for a trial after all these years, that means there never was enough evidence," said his brother Tristan.

The Romanian Public Prosecutor's Office has not yet commented on the latest court decision.

In August, it was announced that a second criminal charge had been filed against the Tate brothers over new allegations of child trafficking, underage sex and money laundering.

That same month, a Romanian judge ordered Andrew Tate to be placed under house arrest, while his brother was placed under special judicial control.

British police are also seeking the extradition of the Tate brothers in connection with allegations of rape and human trafficking.

The Tate brothers deny these allegations.

They were also accused of tax evasion in Great Britain.

A British court ruled on Wednesday that police can seize more than 2,5 million euros from the Tate brothers because of unpaid taxes on 25 million euros of income from their online business.
