Austrian snowboarder Benjamin Karl had one of the most memorable celebrations at the Winter Olympics in Italy after winning gold in the men's parallel giant slalom.

Moments after winning, the 40-year-old veteran, father of two, took off his jacket and multiple layers of gear despite the cold temperature.

In a rush of adrenaline, he waved his arms and screamed, and at one point even lay down naked on the snow.

Maybe it was cold, but not to him.

He won gold again and that was all that mattered to him at that moment.

In a dramatic final race, Karl fell behind South Korean Kim Sang-kyum, but then capitalized on his mistake to win gold by just 0,19 seconds.

Bulgaria's Tervel Zamfirov finished third and won the bronze medal.

In addition to winning, Karl made history at the Winter Olympics.

With this victory, he became the first snowboarder to win four Olympic medals.

He previously won silver at the 2010 Vancouver Games and bronze at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, followed by two gold medals in a row.

The unusual celebration of the snowboarding veterans quickly became one of the most popular moments of the competition in Italy, even though the Games had only just begun.

It was exciting and interesting at other Olympic venues, especially in the women's ice hockey competition in the match between Finland and the Czech Republic.
