Almost 20 years ago, I edited and hosted the program Horizonti on the then Nezavisna TV Banjaluka. The editorial office at that time gave me, as the editor of BUM Magazine, a large studio, the largest possible number of cameras, two stands for the audience. It was a great experience and my first job on television. I think I recorded about 20 shows, they were seen and new, different from all the ones on the air at that time. I did them without any compensation, the only condition was that I had complete editorial freedom.
In one of them, on the subject of the economy and the future, the interlocutor told me something like this... that the tycoons of that time would extort and steal as much as they could, and then at some point they would look to transfer their business to regular streams and channels, supporting parties that they make up the system and that they will then be the greatest fighters for the rule of law and the system that will best protect the looted...
If you look, if you want to look, you will notice that it is now, today, already a done deal. The biggest businessmen, most of them, and honor to the exceptions who resist, the owners of the biggest companies in the RS have a clear, undisguised and completely visible connection to political parties, since they existed. Often parties and masters, for little money.
Another trend characterizes this period, which is that such tycoons hardly invest in the entity, that they have been taking money out of here for years and that they appear as investors all over the Balkans, where their money will be even safer. Behind such capital are the empty halls of former giants from which whole cities, entire regions lived. Armies of social cases that these days send children to Germany, Switzerland, Norway to go fishing. They go to drive trucks where they will get paid for driving trucks...
Director Nikita Milivojević said in an interview on this topic: "I met so many young, smart people traveling around the world and from talking to them I felt that they didn't leave, but that they were driven away in some way!" Some others have withdrawn, so we increasingly have this type of 'internal emigration'. The mediocre ones who took matters into their own hands, as in the aphorism, made a strong chain, and the chain is made up of zeroes..."
We're disappearing. Because this transitional scum has produced so many moral freaks that any other nation, a nation with much better foundations than this one, would have a hard time enduring. And indeed, if you look around, if you see, never have more incompetent and unscrupulous people performed some of the most responsible functions of the system. Kidnappers, criminals, accomplices in serious crimes sit in the highest legislative and executive bodies... And that's where we are... Trouble.
