Whether it is wandering or designed politics is another question, but the circles and lupins of the DF leader in the last ten years deserve at least one ten.
First, Mandić, long before Vučić, concluded that a war with the West would not serve the interests of the Serbian people. And that one should come down from the heavens. At that time, he announced the decision to even remove the national designation from the name of the party and make it just - New Democracy. Hook and hoe were raised in the SNS and the leader still had to retaliate. Srpska was returned to the name. In the next round, Andrija knocked on the door of the "infamous" US embassy. Later, WikiLeaks will reveal cables in which, among other things, the embassy from Podgorica informs Washington that Mandić promised them that he would not start an uprising because of Montenegro's membership in NATO! Because it is a reality and an inevitability. We will resist, but eventually we will accept. Like yesterday in the Parliament.
Then Đukanović decided to retire, for the second time after the referendum. He appointed Lukšić as his successor. According to the later public recognition of one of the champions of DF, Pavlović - all the structures and leaders that make up this alliance today, supported the weak Igor as much as possible because they received such a signal and request "from a partner from the West". Later, they will say that the same hypocritical West, after a year and a half, sold them and handed them over to Đukanović together with Lukšić! Supporting Milo's sixth comeback! For Mandić and his company, it will later be the main trump card in justifying the turn, from Washington to Moscow.
Another, new round, then. But between those two loops, Lekić and DF happened. They begged the retired ambassador and lecturer at the prestigious Roman faculty to return to his homeland and stand at the head of a new, reform movement. That is how the Democratic Front was born. That after a few months they would start grumbling - who is this Lekić. And where is their smallness in the new organization. They waited for an opportune moment and after the stolen presidential elections began to weave a web of intrigues that would force Lekić to leave DF. They thought, it dawned on them only then. And then they woke up, as I said, in Moscow. Bringing back the anti-politics from the beginning of the 90s, the theory of blood and soil, which cost the Serbian people so much. Perhaps the most expensive in its history. On that trail, they entered the protests in 2015, which experienced a fiasco, only to be revived by the brutality of the Đukanović regime as they exhaled. The citizens of Podgorica and Montenegro, I would say the best part, like never before, came out to express their rebellion against the torture of Sajovac and DPS - only for Mandić and his friends to betray that too. Instead of demanding early and fair elections, they tried to win the Assembly by surprise. I already wrote - it was a much more serious coup attempt than that of "Katnić", a year later.
But it doesn't end there. In fact, this is where the real fun begins. Without tents and shacks. After the elections, the results of which the DF leaders did not want to acknowledge, they traveled to the democrat Kadyrov, the Chechen murderer and Putin's president, to ask for his greetings for the new democratic government of Montenegro. When that also failed, they said - whoever enters Sindža's parliament is not only an easy fish, but also the biggest traitor to the opposition. Ever! From Kosovo, then. Then, at the end of 2017, they were the first to cross the threshold of Sindža's home.
In the next round, in the run-up to the presidential elections, they played masterfully for the DPS candidate, Đukanović. For months, they sabotaged Bečić's candidacy, spreading rumors that if they had to choose between Aleksa and Milo, Milo was theirs, and then they would throw in the innocent and overcome Jovićević. For two and a half months, they kept the public in a trance with the story of the opposition's historic agreement regarding a candidate who did not even meet the formal legal requirements to appear on the electoral list. So that they would then pull Mladen Bojanić out of his sleeve in cajtnot and over the buried Jovićević! Once again mocking the opposition electorate that he is the true candidate of the united opposition. Who was told behind his back from the first day that "he is a good guy, but he has no chance against Milo".
All the time, of course, the reality of the process for the alleged coup d'état flows, which the DF leaders use as an unquestionable confirmation of their suffering and anti-regime activities. At the same time, in daily politics, they do what their supposed eternal enemy DPS could only wish for. Well done, Milo. And then the European Commission and the ODHR opened the story about election laws and fair conditions for 2020, so that it would never happen again that after the votes have been counted, one of the parties does not recognize the final results. Democrats and URA, as currently the strongest political entity in the opposition, accepted the initiative and thus a basic document was reached that was supported by DPS and which gave hope that a consensus could be reached in Montenegro. That, in his own style, even after Commissioner Han blessed that joint paper, the DPS would set out to make it meaningless. DF was ready to do another round for an old ally. And so instead of talking about election conditions, the focus shifts to their favorite patriotic topics. "Patriotism is the refuge of scoundrels," to quote Johnson again. All this is finally confirmed by Mandić himself at the commemoration of the protests from 2015. Maltene declares victory, another in a series, announcing "good news" - DPS accepted that constitutional changes should be included in the agenda of the working group for election conditions. That instead of buying votes, voter lists, shameful SEC and RTCG, we solve Sekula, Njegoš, Kiš, Rumija, the cross and the moon. And now you know what awaits us. After another unfree election in 2020 and the new victory of the Methuselah Đukanović, and at the new request of Vučić's ventriloquist Dačić, DF will reluctantly and with numerous resistances enter Milo's Government. They will resist, but they have no choice. And then DPS and DF would announce in a joint statement the reconciliation of majority and Orthodox Montenegro, which would postpone democracy and European values indefinitely. For generations to come.
