Could anyone imagine Angela Merkel - whatever else you think of her - interfering in the investigation of a mentally deranged German co-pilot who killed himself in the company of 149 non-volunteers? Make statements about his mental state? It stands in the defense of the ministers if there is any doubt about their ability to work, from falsification of academic titles to direct responsibility for the entire field? In the case of the Germanwings disaster, it would actually be expected that the European Commissioner for Transport, the Slovenian Violeta Bulc, would leave, because it was the EC that privileged the cheapest possible air transport.
Neither guilty nor obligated, but that is the risk of the job, the required style and standard... As for the journalists, the professional butchers certainly "investigated" the possibility that the pilot became a Muslim, that he had a Muslim girlfriend and that he was seduced by caliphate propagandists. Professional investigative journalists, French, Spanish and German, set out to investigate the position of co-pilots in the world of low-cost airline carriers, and immediately discovered the horror: pilots have a permanent job, and co-pilots are temporary workers, who cannot count on permanent employment or promotion. In order to reach the required number of flying hours, a necessary condition for promotion, they are sometimes forced to buy these hours, that is, to pay for them. Their monthly salaries under short-term contracts are scandalous for the EC - around 1.600 euros.
They are exposed to stress, insecurity, they save on everything, let's say on food, and while employees sleep in airport hotels, co-pilots and others sleep - in cars in parking lots, because they have no money for hotels... Maybe something good will come out of all this, like could be new cabin regulations and practices, improving the position of short-term employees, punishing Lufthansa for many omissions and negligence. Relatives will without hesitation extract compensation from the airline, and perhaps from the states.
And although we are talking about accidents in air traffic, there is absolutely no parallel with the case of a helicopter in Serbia not far from the Belgrade airport. Nor, of course, that Merkel and Hollande immediately came to a remote part of the French Alps to see how the search operations were going and express their condolences, while in the Serbian example, it seems, the officials were already at the planned meeting place when the accident happened to them before nose. In this case, no one mentions compensation to the families, and this is crucial: it does not work, because the intention is not to establish responsibility. Let's leave aside the media pirouettes of the prime minister, who directly cooperates with professional media butchers: they invent the drunkenness of the crew, then he protects both the dead heroes and his living and highly responsible ministers and commanders. Everyone outside is to blame.
The same procedure was applied in other circumstances - the forgery minister is protected by the fact that those who proved the forgery are guilty. The only thing is that this time the sociopathic tricks reached a level that managed to excite even the Serbian audience. A logical outcome, i.e. the fall of the government, is probably not possible, but not because of the invincibility of this behavior: the roots are deeper, more serious, and require more effort. It is, in fact, the same mentality and political will that have not allowed the question of responsibility to be raised for some twenty years.
Let's ask these questions according to their physical size: the territorial destruction of a larger state, and then the systematic destruction of the territorial integrity of the remaining state, with an attack on its own territory (Kosovo), the weak-minded expulsion of allies (Montenegro), the humiliation of the victims, the assassination of the prime minister, the impoverishment and exploitation of the people, corruption , disastrous foreign policy, cover-up of war crimes and criminals.
And the latter is everything: through the processes of war and post-war crimes and their perpetrators, the people could learn what the demands of justice, fairness and no less compassion are, and based on that knowledge, respond sensibly to everything else. Understanding begins in court, but continues in memory, writing, monuments, graves, everyday life that determines, for example, voting in elections. I am not idealizing some kind of enlightenment of the people, only the circumstances in which an effective, eloquent and powerful opposition can be created. And I wouldn't just show the degree of despair, if it didn't seem to me that the case with the helicopter and senseless victims could be the key turning point towards political reason.
