Telling about the town of Murino, its inhabitants, famous and infamous times, about the fate that, who knows when and why, placed it between the steep hills of Komovo and Čakor, right next to the banks of Lim, at the crossroads of caravan routes, which from ancient times led from the old The race towards Shkodër and Dubrovnik, and then further by sea to distant lands, can start from all that, and first from simple people, from heroes who marked ancient times with their lives, or from events from recent times.
The intending traveler, whether he comes or passes through Murino, will have at least three things in his permanent memory: the monument to the national hero Vujadin Vujo Zogović, whose name the Murino local community bears, who also became a target for steel NATO birds and their shrapnel, leaving an inhuman mark on head of bust. What a coincidence - in the exact same place where Vujo received his fatal wound from Hitler's stormtroopers at Tjentište. By all accounts, or maybe because she too, on that fateful day, defied the aggression of the country for which Vujo gave up his life, from a coincidence that is almost chilling. In the center of the small park, which forms the complex of the nearby school and the House of Culture, a modest memorial with the sculptures of locals Manojlo Komatina, Milka Kočanović, Vukić Vuletić and children Julija Brudar, Olivera Maksimović and Miroslav Knežević, whose interrupted play and innocent smiles from the photographs, as if eternally condemn the living. From any local, even without a special reason, you will witness a story that will leave you in a dilemma for a moment, whether the story is reality or some told or retold legend about the "war" of today's strongest military force and innocent human beings - children and the elderly . Reason and breath seem to be leaving you - so is that possible - who are those children to blame, why is there so much global anger at the innocent Murina, against Murina's children and the elderly? What is the cause and what is the effect, should they have been the target in order to respond to the crazy time with their lives, to the war that was going on in the country until then, even if there was no aggressor. The war, or the extended hand of the insane policy of destroying entire nations, takes its toll in the country, according to the terrible rationale "the worse the better".
Precisely, that "the worse the better" in the country, practically summoned the world's strongest army, which then from the Aviano military base, along with direct and indirect announcements, regularly announced the selection of targets and strategic goals. General Wesley Clark, who was entrusted with the command of the steel birds and means of destruction of people, openly confirms: "Announcements were always made about take-offs, overflights and targets of fighter planes, through important police, military and government centers". Residents of Podgorica, Beran, Plavljan and others throughout Montenegro were regularly notified of possible danger by sound blasts.
For reasons known only to the state of Montenegro, the citizens of Murina were not notified, but due to the negligence of the state, the fatal and announced deaths of the innocent were not missed. About that terrible crime, who knows how many times, the public was informed, but almost always with one question, which never received a real answer. Who is responsible for that crime and who is obliged to alleviate the truly irreparable pain and eternal suffering of the victims through satisfaction and human consideration. Searching for those answers, I testify in their place: neither NATO with its technique for killing the innocent, nor the then The Government of Montenegro with its system of defence, warning, notification and responsibility prescribed by the Constitution.
The birth and death of a person are real categories, which can be understood as such, and even tragic deaths that force one to understand them, even those who cannot or do not want to. The damaged ancestors of the Murin victims, they seem to survive the tragedy they experienced in two acts. One is the one who convinced them of the death of their loved ones, and the other, if we want to say on the same level, is the one who is experiencing slow, bad and unreasonable "justice" from the dependent Montenegrin judiciary. Instead of investigating the responsibility of those who, through their omission and inaction, abetted the crime, when, through court decisions, it is necessary to pay some kind of damage, the state excuses itself with the statute of limitations of a claim that does not really exist legally. Instead of applying the law honestly and responsibly, at least to the extent that it was done in the case of the robbed Dubrovnik cows, the state is looking for an excuse to prove that no one was responsible for why children and the elderly became targets, why they were not told that the steel birds were flying towards to them. Extremely autistic, without human consideration and feeling for pain and piety, the state will not recognize its responsibility prescribed by the law and the Constitution, nor does it recognize that Murin children and the elderly are practically victims of the state and state policy of that time, and their families are legal victims of the top of the Montenegrin judiciary . I hope that, although slow, justice will be available, if not in this time, then in some new time. We are waiting.
