Dear B., I thank you for your telegram that you sent two months ago, on the occasion of the death of my Cetinje. I delayed the answer until the end of the local elections, so that I could appear with a vision of this "grand project". I am of the opinion that this "holiday of democracy" is marked by many contradictions of our being, so I will briefly list several key segments (I will not pay attention to your earlier statements, which, among other things, I consider justified).
COLLECTIVE AMNESIA – The psychology of the Cetinje masses fell prey to the election promises of the ruling party. The people of Cetinje did not seem to mind the fact that their city, from the center of Montenegrin culture, became a semi-palanka, which has the highest rate of population outflow and one of the highest unemployment rates in Montenegro. This time they simply forgot about the decadence that befell them, and decided to be the servants of the master of lies for the next four years. They did not have an image of what the city looked like a month before the election, but the excavators and machinery on our streets created the impression that something was "being done" in Cetinje. All the unfulfilled promises from four years ago turned into dust, but even so, the people of Cetinje voted for the social party "Democrats". The fact is that the more our despots promise, the more votes they get. Perhaps in the next elections in 2017, in the absence of funds, their imaginations will work, and the exhausted Cetinje people will be promised the construction of a nuclear power plant on Trešnjevo and a space station on Bata Cucka, along with a convenient, small airport on the site of the former "Obod" factory. It is unfortunate that the voters would believe them even then. To beat Cetinje!
SOUL SALE - Cetinje has been the Pantheon of freedom throughout history. Lately, it has become a sanctuary of half-heartedness, and it is not the fault of the people of Cetinje, but the "street dogs" of the ruling party. Since their bosses have impoverished our fellow citizens, they decided to buy a human soul for 100 euros. The local Mephistopheles, dressed in the garb of a DPS activist, went from house to house like an Old Testament plague and collected tortured personalities. In this way, he trampled on their dignity, and became a public aggressor of freedom of choice, playing the card of their poverty. We should express sympathy with all the people who sold their "vox populi", since they are above all - hungry, and unfortunately also unaware, because by "making a pact with the devil" they made senseless of all the world revolutionaries who shed oceans of blood, so that they would today had the right to vote. Vote for Sasha!
THE GODFATHER 4 – If by any chance Coppola had decided to continue his trilogy, he would not have had to bother, it would have been enough for him to have been in Cetinje a few days before the elections, but also on the day of their holding. In almost every bar in Cetinje, several policemen and inspectors sat - one could say, the state protects the citizens. Although, the motive is probably different. And on November 16, egal - the establishment of Montenegrin controversial businessmen walks the main street, while the elections are underway. The Texas landscape, with frightened and excited onlookers from nearby coffee shops, stiffly whispering over their shoulders – pssst, here's Brano. Only Al Pacino and Andy Garcia were missing, so that one wonders if he is not in a Hollywood studio. Simply better!
CULT OF PERSONALITY – (Europe, Montenegro, Cetinje, year 2013, month of November, somewhere around 22 p.m.) Orgasmic exaltation on the faces of semi-literate followers of the ruling party, in front of the icon of the most holy, venerable miracle worker. Carried by the fervor of religious fanaticism, these distorted logos exult in the image of their creator, shouting his name as the holiest prayer, and they have the right because Cetinje is the valley of the gods. Both Hitler and Stalin would have jealously watched this event, where a European "leader" in the XNUMXst century is placed on the head of a halo of divinity. Perhaps the dictator of North Korea was the most satisfied with this "motive", who, with a good hamburger, celebrated the fact that fools don't live only in his country. All this reminds me of the history of Byzantium, and the era of iconoclastic disputes. I think that Montenegro needs an iconoclast, in order to stop this shameless servitude. Go Montenegro!
48% SPIRIT OF FREEDOM – Now I return to the story of the contradictions of our being. Despite these anomalies that the spirit of Cetinje showed in the local elections, where the DPS took as much as 52% of the votes, these elections also produced something that many analysts did not look at - as many as 4.500 people from Cetinje showed that they have a healthy conscience and that they advocate for radical reforms. Journalists and critics of the opposition emphasized that the victory of the ruling party was absolute, however, I claim that these elections were won by free-spirited people who, despite many blackmails and coercions, decided not to vote for the usurpers of state resources and functions. So I would like to congratulate all the citizens who have shown courage to oppose the autocracy and the neo-fascist regime. Because of them, I don't regret founding Cetinje. Zeitgeist!
These five segments that marked the elections in Cetinje reflect the situation in other Montenegrin cities, so it is evident that our entire country is in a moral crisis that grinds the intellect and leads its population to apathy. But what to expect from a country where the head of government publicly calls a member of parliament a rascal? And that he is not answerable before the judiciary, not because he is not the perpetrator of the crime, but because no one has the courage to bring him before the court. What can I say in the end - Montenegro is ripe for a revolution. Either moral or political. The question is, who is willing to go all the way, you or them? If there is no democratic change of government soon, there will be necessary scenes of clashes between hungry protesters and armed police. We can only hope that this Erdogan of ours will succumb to the pressure.
Until then, stick with me Cetinians!
