For the first time in my life, I feel pre-election mornings before I open my eyes. The air, the coffee, the newspaper, the morning news... everything smells like the election. They erupt from every corner of my being. In addition to the constitutionally guaranteed right to vote, I will use the other one - to be elected. To be chosen with eighty other brave women and men who decided to think, work and act - only positively. There are 81 of us on the orange election list. There are many, many more of us who are Positive Montenegro. On Sunday, October 14, there will be most of us.
There will be us because the gray that entered the responsible institutions of this country a long time ago began to darken more and more seriously and grow into blackness. So we have collectively become color blind – we only see black or white. And the nuances that mean more to life, for the most part, we don't even notice. That's why we decided to bring colors back to our reality. The colors of life, joy, kindness, solidarity, but also the colors of work, learning, progress. Orange color flooded Montenegro. A wave that heralds change. The time has come for us all to become responsible towards those we live with, whom we meet with children in the park, on the bus, at the market, at school, on the bridge, in the store... Because after 23 years, it's high time to be responsible, why not? , and towards themselves.
Responsibility and solidarity - not difficult to achieve. You just need a little optimism and self-belief. And the awareness that every individual is equally important and that every vote must and should be a vote for the future of this country.
We are determined to cross the Rubicon. The die is cast. There is no going back. However, our symbolic crossing of the Rubicon only means crossing the territory that the ruling elites have been holding as their defense for more than two decades. And even though we say Alea iacta est – they see it as throwing a glove in their face. Let them have it, and let them interpret it that way, if they really want to. But they should finally understand that losing power is not a big deal. To sit in the opposition benches, a little, for a change can only improve their political condition. About that - how much such a sequence of events would benefit the citizens of Montenegro and those who will be born in this beautiful country - I think it is clear to everyone. It would be a country with a new, more pleasant climate. It would be a land where juicier and more beautiful fruits are born. Because - after 23 years, so that it is the best in the world, the government must finally be changed. Democratically, in elections, of course.
Two contemporary leftists - Negri and Hard in their latest book Declaration, among other things, wrote: "When a series of abuses and usurpations grow into complete despotism, it is our right, it is our duty to overthrow such a government and to provide new guardians of our future security".
And what is this - despotism. But we, in spite of everything, only want a chivalrous contest in which the best will win. And they persistently, from their old and well-developed kitchen, send various diakonies for the people. And poison for political contests.
The tires on the official cars worn out by the officials of the ruling coalition in Montenegro during these hot September and October days. How much fuel was poured and spilled from the state coffers to reach everyone who, after everything they've done, they again convince, blackmail and beg - to support them. To support them a little longer, just four more years.
Scissors are scattered all over Montenegro. Kilometers of red ribbon were unrolled over the hills and valleys instead of the promised highway. Unfinished railroad, unfinished roads, unfinished buildings, unfinished freedom, unfinished democracy... It doesn't matter. Who cares about that. It's the stage that matters. Decor is important. He speaks without enthusiasm or sense. Worn out characters. Worn-out ideas are like colorful cellophane for all the untruths, subterfuges and frauds, corruption, the collapse of the economy and everything ugly that they have brought us.
It is important that they rattle keys and squeal scissors in front of people's noses. But I guess no one has an illusion anymore and everyone, I hope, now understands, sees and is not afraid to say what they saw. We know that they are there for themselves, for the extension of their rule and our agony. There is nothing that the officials of the ruling class have not opened in recent days. Frantically running from stone to stone - from booth to booth and opening all kinds of things, they forgot one thing. They forgot to open the can, the only one left, pre-election - to the poor throughout Montenegro. The one from which the whole family lives. The families they have forgotten while waving the numbers they supposedly helped them with.
Their math is ugly and devastating. It offends common sense. So when they brag about taking care of the poorest - they don't say that they give them so much that their family members can spend 80 cents a day. Can they even imagine that someone in the country they rule daily has 80 cents of expenses available for each family member? No, I'm sure I can't. In their arrogance, they forgot how ordinary people live. How do those who studied, studied, and worked for years live, only to now be blackmailed voters and humiliated citizens.
Let's get out of that conservatory. Let's bring it down to earth, to reality. Let's not wait another moment for them to fulfill our empty promises. There is nothing of that. All around us, people are starving, the educated are fleeing to happier countries, the empty, corrupt and worn out rule.
Therefore - let's vote for a better, fairer, cleaner and brighter future of this country. Let's vote for a positive Montenegro because - only such a country will be worthy of life in the 21st century.
