The other evening, a forum of the European Montenegro coalition was held in Bar. Whoever wanted to, and especially whoever had to, was present. I don't belong in either, so I "gave" the place to someone who wanted to be seen there. However, as a resident of Bar, I was interested in what the powerful and ruling coalition offered to local voters as a firm promise of prosperity for the next four-year period, because we have been spoiled by the results of their five five-year development plans, after which the economy of Bar is in a somewhat better condition from the not so long ago excavated church in Topolica.
That's how I told you early on Sunday, that after many, many years I "hijacked" to buy Pobjeda, the official newspaper of the SSRN of Montenegro, assuming that the newspaper would literally convey the speeches of the main and other spokespersons from the Tribune. When that, on the middle of the front page, in BIG letters, the announcement of the main reading - Milo Đukanović: "Baba Miško organized an opposition masquerade ball". Well, I ran to the apartment, full of curiosity, so out of breath I started to read that some grandmother is the main danger for European Montenegro. It immediately occurred to me that even Njegoš could not write Mountain Wreath without mentioning a woman from Bar, who was not really necessary for the dramatic plot. Since then, we Barans have been sensitive to grandmothers, especially when they are "imputed" to us by the master or the bishop, personally. She is particularly concerned that the grandmother, they say, was camouflaged as a man, and even more so that she disguised herself as a mobster, because she was sure that no one would even look for her, let alone discover her in Montenegro. It's not but. "Tell Grandma if you're a witch" – mobster.
The main spokesperson spent the second part of his speech in Bar saying a lot of unmeasured words about our fellow citizen Miodrag Lekić, whom we know both personally and by father and mother, but also as a young teacher at the Gymnasium, elected teacher of the school in Kumrovac, director of the Cultural Center, minister of education, science and culture and physical culture in the Government (RIV) of the Honorable Vuk Vukadinović. Other state functions after '89. could not (and by God did not have to) perform without the consent of the Montenegrin authorities. We remember well that sung democracy. I know personally, and the spokesperson knows, that he was not a follower of Slobodan Milošević, but neither was the government of Montenegro. (We know that the servants fared better). He was and remains himself to this day. It is regrettable if none of the Barans told the spokesperson, at least at the post-tribune meeting, that such criticisms of Mr. Lekić are not founded, nor appropriate, even in the incorrect and senseless pre-election party campaigning, which causes quarrels and costs Montenegro a lot. In that cost price, money is the least important. There will be life after these elections, regardless of how they end.
The "guilt" of Pozitivna is not clear to me, because it was a party founded a few months ago, but it is unavoidable in the criticism of the "European" coalition. When I think about it, they could have chosen an easier path, (which is more often taken) - join the DPS collectively "so that God may have mercy on them".
And what kind of pre-election tribune would it be in Bar without mentioning the church in Rumija, which still dominates the eastern part of our city today, which was built by "political competitors of the ruling coalition". For God's sake, who provided the transport of the church to the "airport", whose mother "took" the church to Rumi and who was the supreme commander of the SCG Army that hired her. I am afraid that the position and the opposition regarding everything in Montenegro will somehow and sometime come to an agreement, and that the last and insurmountable obstacle will be the auction of who prefers the Serbian Orthodox Church.
I was not very curious to find out what the others who stood in the Tribune had to say. However, you can't help but notice the "wisdom" that "we on the coast know very well that the helm is left to the best..." Anyone who knows anything about a ship has learned that the helm is given to the helmsman, which is not a special function on a ship, and the latter turns the rudder towards the course set by the captain of the ship. Otherwise, there would be just as many shipwrecks as ships.
Don't blame me for taking too long to comment on Pobjeda's report from the meeting of like-minded and like-minded people of the European Montenegro coalition in Bar. As far as I could read and hear, the promotion was the same in all municipalities. A row of skits, a row of gossiping about political opponents, and almost nothing about what they have done since their previous promises and just as much about what they plan to do if they win the elections. Far from it, like a traveling theater whose repertoire consists of monodramas, in every respect an already overtired main actor, with a huge number of extra actors, who in an expensive scenario act out the scenery, changing from place to place, so that local extras can be seen and photographed. And so every time. Change at least something.
I'm sure that few Barans will be interested in what the Coalition thinks about Grandma Mishko, or "Grandpa Joko", the owner of the famous "Lada". If Miško is much worse than what the Coalition gives him credit for, you can easily get rid of him by stopping buying Vijesti, or switching to another television channel. And that's it, there's no more Mishko. Eh, if all the other problems of Montenegro were so easily solved. Could it be that Miško's story is more disturbing than Miško's biography, that Miško knows a lot, not only in the field in which he is an eminent university professor, but that he is not afraid to say it. And so, since 1990. A bride broke a mirror because she didn't like her face when she put on some make-up. It didn't make her more beautiful.
Barane would probably be more interested if there was talk on the Tribune about when the bypass around the city will be built, because every tourist season comes to our woes, when will the first connection to the built Regional water supply in the area of Veliki Pijesko and Utjeha be made and when will sewerage be built for three-quarters of buildings in the municipality, when will the so-called construction of apartments for the market, because only the builders benefit from this construction, and that is huge, the Municipality permanently loses space, exhausts the existing infrastructure, and all for apartments where no one lives. In many residential buildings, there are few or almost no lights at night. And much, much more.
We are already used to the fact that Milo, at public gatherings and other public appearances, simply loves to "smear" his imaginary (and real) opponents, to joke and be ironic about them. A real "champion" in verbal katas. It would be good if it was not there, or if it was there to a much lesser extent. That it is not an end in itself. But when, these days, I hear his associates and, by necessity, coalition partners, the remnants of the former liberals and reformists, who think that this is the only way they can get hold of even a small part of the government, how they imitate their boss, and they also shout, joke, they are ironic and make inappropriate jokes and metaphors, then it's sad. Then it's a farce. It reminds of the folk one - saw a frog shoeing a horse... There will be horseshoes, the Ironworks will work. And the horseshoe, we know, brings luck. And I, old-fashioned, always thought that it was best to be shod with knowledge and education.
In the end: this country needs to be led on the right path, so that the slogan Forward Montenegro would make sense. Can this be done by the government, which did not know how to do it for the past 23 years?
