Morača and the whole process of planning the eventual exploitation of the hydro potential of this river is a miracle. Take their word for it. A miracle. It is not unprecedented, but on the contrary, a miracle that has already been seen many times so far in Montenegro.
Just choose a social, economic, ecological or whatever segment you want and you will find a similar miracle. So much has already been tried, played, done or started, that it is difficult to conceive a new miracle, let alone realize it.
However, our heroes are inventive, smart and ready for any situation. However, her creativity was a little withheld. And don't be mad at them. Creativity and inventing new miracles, however, costs money. And the cash register has thinned out a bit, because everyone is somewhat afraid of the final result.
The public realized that we are solving the neighbors' energy deficits, that there is not even cheaper electricity for us, and by God, the energy paradise has been wasted on piles of documents that are now of no use. So there are lobbying agencies that cost money, commercials and so on. That's why it's better to rely on already seen miracles. Tried and trusted. To make the spectacle complete, another miracle came up - an assessment of the economic effects of the construction of the possibly built HPP on Morača. Its first name at the beginning of the public debate on the draft concession act was: analysis of the Mediterranean University.
When people who stick to their name and profession distanced themselves from that document, the Minister of Economy showed that it was not a cat's cough. Like a real poker player, he pulled an ace out of his sleeve. So during the public debate, that same document was rhetorically presented as an analysis by experts (read: government officials under the guise of independent experts).
Since the end of the public hearings, that analysis has grown into an analysis of the University of Dubrovnik. Same paper, same letters, same numbers. Only the names are different. We are all powerful. We are also sending Houdini into retirement. This is a miracle. Maybe Houdini can hide something, pull it out of his sleeve, create a rabbit with a blink of an eye, but he can't do this.
I don't think he would dare, because the whole audience would laugh at him. And put her on the pole of shame, because of the very attempt at manipulation. The audience never forgives the mistakes of circus performers, magicians and illusionists. Where to put this story with analysis? Circus or magician?
Illusionist – maybe? Whatever it is - we will pay for the tickets for that show. The ticket office is already open.
But miracles do not end there. The document, whose creators keep changing, is clear proof that when we build dams, we will reduce the unemployment rate. We will. But not in Montenegro. Show me the construction site where our fellow citizens are working on the scaffolding. There are none. Our Government, having strengthened Montenegro, now acts regionally.
We are reducing unemployment in the region. Which is legit. But then it should not be claimed that unemployment in Montenegro will decrease. Already in Bosnia and Macedonia - because mostly workers from those countries work on our construction sites. And I don't mind if we help other neighbors as well. Not only to the Italians, but, please, let's call things by their right names. The magicians claim that during the exploitation we will create around 130 new jobs. Awesome. Just don't forget that there are just so many people working in the average supermarket. The next miracle that will happen to us is - Željezara! The dams will also have a beneficial effect on it.
It will heal the wounds of this suffering company from the unfortunate privatization past and present. Will. It will be another miracle. Healing. Biblical proportions. A factory in Nikšić, burdened with problems and worker dissatisfaction, will experience a boom. It is necessary to install a lot of iron in the foundations of the imagined dams.
To be constant for us. That they stand on the bumper of our prosperity and the road to a better tomorrow. Why not. For the sake of comparison - Montenegro, the country of clean and healthy drinking water, these days buys canisters and bottles of imported water. Hardly where to find local, although we have it in abundance.
Maybe we'll just wise up when it comes to dam iron and act according to the slogan "Buy local". Or even then there are those who are interested in us buying other people's.
So that everything is not so dark, let's go a little further into the future. Imagine Montenegro in 30 years. The dams remain with us. Hey, us!!! Let's go even further into the future. Half a century. Only then does a real economic miracle occur. Well, it will be an unprecedented miracle, because we won't even see it as biological things are now. Or maybe we all live to be a hundred, thanks to dams.
Is there anyone who does not believe in these facts. There is none. Everyone believes. And experts. We trust the experts that they did not take into account the non-monetary effects - the impact on the environment and the loss of natural beauty and territory for future generations. True, it was forgotten to mention the economic activities that are being lost, the potential for tourism, agriculture, social costs, etc. But it doesn't matter. In addition to these figures, I wouldn't even bother with the trivial hundreds of millions that we are losing, because billions are coming our way.
Who are they coming to? Us or them. Whose electricity is ours? Their. And that miracle has already been seen in Montenegro. But also in Africa. Everything there is theirs, actually someone else's. A continent too rich in natural resources. Politicians too. Cheap labor force, political elite, the beauty of God, rich companies extract profits, leave poverty and devastated nature.
It is important that politicians and companies are satisfied. Imagine that they also have those promoters who convince the public according to the principle that "dams are good for cardiovascular diseases". Part of the scientific elite is also waiting for politicians and their statements to see what they should think. You won't believe it, but even with them, some companies first steal money from the people, and then give it to charity.
And of course they deserve high state and social awards. Prosperity and well-being. But it is very true that Caravaggio did not come to them. Which it is, it is. We have to advise them, so that they can learn something from us. And so Africa has been for hundreds of years. In truth, we have only just begun that thorny road to success.
But we're doing pretty well. Here and there we have a little hiccups with an investor, who, despite all the state aid, runs away or has unpaid bills for us to pay, but it's good. And we buy them electricity, and write off their taxes, and they still don't have enough. So sometimes we have to take their bankrupt companies again. The truth with hundreds of millions of their debts.
But he is silent. It is good. We are paving a sure path to success. Their. A miracle seen many times. In Montenegro. And to Africa.
