What a parade of hypocrisy it was, I am serdar to you and you are me voivode, and we all know who we are...not to mention what. Speaker of the Montenegrin Parliament:
"Credible, responsible and professional media are key to the functioning of any democracy and are the foundation of a free society?!... The role of the Assembly is to create conditions for the work of the media, and it is up to the media not to abuse their power??!!"
It would be a full hit of another president in the capital of a normal country, on the same topic - Parliament and the media, the reality of mutual expectations. In Cetinje, a complete failure, especially as regards the conditions for the work of the media engaged in journalism...

And then a representative of the OSCE joined the whitewashing. An organization that in three days, even from afar, manages to see what we have not been able to do for three decades - that the elections here are fair and democratic. Not only the last one under a special coup, but all the previous ones...
Then why wouldn't they support the efforts that Montenegro is making to "foster freedom of opinion"... That's exactly what she said, even though this "fostering" has a murdered journalist as a direct result. Fortunately, two survived the assassination attempt. Plus almost 90 more attacks, of which - almost - 90 percent remained uninvestigated. If I don't come here with the economic exhaustion and political harassment of the free media...
All that was needed was for Johannes Hahn to appear from somewhere. And he firmly promised that all attacks on Montenegrin journalists will be described again in the next report of the European Commission...
With whose warnings, the Montenegrin government hits the mark just like the Soviet one did to those from Pješivci half a century ago. When the local committee of the communists said that they would sit again if the USSR did not immediately withdraw its troops from Czechoslovakia...

And what the "cultivation of freedom of opinion" under the direction of our government really looks like was recently witnessed by the police chief and the minister of justice.
For a decade and a half, the murder of the director and editor-in-chief Dan Duško Jovanović has been running through all the reports... We have operational knowledge, the killers will not escape justice... New evidence has been found, the case is about to unravel...
Arrested accomplice, he almost didn't speak... DNA sent to Wiesbaden, criminals soon in prison...
15 years have passed in this well-organized deception of the family and the public. And then somehow by the way, as if murders of journalists are a completely natural phenomenon, comes the acknowledgment that the killers will never be brought to justice, nor will we learn their names...
The investigators were a bit tired, it happens, we'll see if there are grounds to at least launch an investigation into it, that's how they explained it.
It's as if they're making fun of the family and Dan and the entire public. With the murdered Duško Jovanović and without him, they made fun of him even while he was receiving threats...

Cultivating freedom of thought with fatal consequences, Tufik Softić only managed to avoid by mere chance. In 2007, the entire region watched footage of a journalist beaten almost to death, but it took seven more years for investigators to notice that it was an attempted murder.
All this time Tufik tried to tell them the truth, they did not want to hear him. So persistent, as if they were ordered from the highest authority to remain deaf to everything he was saying. And so strikingly, as if they sent an unequivocal message to other colleagues as a preventive measure - we are here to protect the mafia, and they don't really understand this freedom of opinion...
We're sorry, we can't correct the mistakes from the beginning of the investigation, that's how the police and justice chiefs consoled Tufik over the screen.
In the future, be careful about who and what you write about, it is difficult to organize such mistakes again - they should have warned him.
Just in case, here's me doing it for them...

Olja Lakić has not yet been officially informed that neither the person who shot her nor the person who ordered it will ever be found. Despite the fact that a mistake was made in that investigation at the very beginning.
Instead of making this mistake secretly, the investigators would understand and because they should miss everything, the master loudly announced where to look for the murderers.
- The most suspicious are those who came forward first - he aimed straight at Vijesta, as if it was a crime to protest the attempted murder of a colleague.
With that scandalous statement, he only drew the attention of the investigators to the direction in which they must not go. The security services had to be cleared of all suspicion in advance.
I have no idea how far the investigation has progressed, if at all. I don't even know if there is a direct connection between the shooting in Olje on the eve of the Victory over Fascism Day and the owner's statement that the News is fascist.
I can only reasonably doubt that some director of the police and the minister of justice will tell her the same thing as Tufik in a few years...
There were some errors in the beginning, sorry...
Because of this, some of Johannes Han's successors will warn them strongly that "all the details about the attempted murder of journalist Olivera Lakić will be found in the next report of the European Commission"...
***
And then? Then nothing... The government will once again organize a forum where it will support "credible, responsible and professional" media, and these are only those that do not interfere in their work or their own.
For the others, who doubt, ask and check, only the second part of this message will still apply, "not to abuse their power".
Evidence that the media is "key to the development of democracy and the foundation of a free society" will come in the form of 300 apartments for the security services because - if we're being honest - they really are key to the survival of this government.
And the government, when another journalist is in the crosshairs, owned by her or someone close to her, will find two more to explain along the way:
- We're sorry, some mistakes happened at the beginning, the investigators were a little tired...
PS At the same time, war crimes prosecutors will continue to suffer from chronic fatigue. And, instead of an investigation, organize press conferences. At which they will announce for another decade that the criminals are about to be brought before the court. Until they have to bring the youngest of them into the courtroom, like the late Andrija Artuković on the eve of his 90th birthday...
