He really does not give to this opposition. They are trying hard to come up with a common candidate, but nothing yet. They swear by a person who will unite all anti-regime forces and overthrow the DPS favorite, although they do not yet know the identity of the person. But they are looking for her. And they pray to God not to find her. He who tires of searching will be accused of breaking unity and destroying the historic agreement. After that, each of the opposition parties will run to nominate their candidate, whom they have kept up their sleeve from the beginning. It seems complicated to you, but let me simplify it - dear citizens, the opposition is messing with us. For 28 years. In this case, they are not looking for a unique candidate but for a traitor in their own ranks. It will be the one who shows his ace first. Everyone knows about that game, that's why everyone is waiting. Because - it is not easy to issue an idea that no one stands behind. Which has no sincere supporter among the opposition leaders. The most exciting, however, is yet to come - a volley of accusations between the bigwigs who betrayed and destroyed the historic agreement. Those who weep the loudest for a missed chance, know that they worked the hardest to make it meaningless. So, people, you are waiting for Godot in vain, he will not appear. Neither did Beckett.
And it's not like we didn't wait. First, the leaders told us to wait for DPS. That didn't sound bad - DPS is to blame for the fact that the opposition does not yet have a single candidate. Because why would the opposition run with independents if DPS goes with the strongest, holy Milo?! Or, why would the opposition go with the strongest, Saint Andrija (or Aleks), if the DPS goes with an independent. And so two months passed. While one of the DPS champions (Gvozdenović) did not announce that the party can announce the name of its candidate on March 20 (which is the deadline for applications). The opposition leaders then said - you see, we didn't count on that. That DPS has 100 thousand collected signatures and 160 thousand voters at any moment. And that I can relax and wait for March 20 and April 15.
Then we entered the finish of the campaign in Berane. Not in order to win DPS, but in order to achieve the best possible position for negotiations regarding the presidential and Podgorica elections after them. A tie (among the main opposition parties) led to an extension of the agony. The Democrats grew at the expense of the DF, but the DF kept its majority. Pata-pata. Before the elections, the public learned that Bečić wanted to run for president, but he gave up because of the sleepers in the opposition. Ready, of course, to make sacrifices if the rest of the opposition does not find common ground. The SDP welcomed the opening of space for an independent candidate, sending Draginja to warm up at the same time. Along the touchline. DF accompanied the situation in its own style, that is, fiddler - that we are on the threshold of a historic agreement, which the Echo of Moscow will be buzzing about. To make every voter who is unhappy to live in a country where one man rules for three decades cringe. Andrija called Andrija, fortunately the connection did not break, and the knight Koja was ready to run into the field. Although, they say, Katnić is already waiting for him at the airport. "It would be great if they arrest him when he lands," explained one of the DF leaders why AJ should lead us. For a long, long time... Demos was amused by the internal turmoil, Danilović acted as the PR of DF, while Abazović tried to show us that he, not Časlav Vešović, is Tom Cruise. That is, the impossible mission of uniting the opposition around one candidate is possible... And then we got into the matchmaking that is still going on. In which everyone secretly makes a big contribution to the obstruction of the agreement while publicly swearing that they are the ones most in favor of an agreement on a common candidate. Whose name is not yet known, but that is least important. For days, the Democrats have been informing the public that they "strongly insist" on a single one, the DF convinces us that it is working hard on the "historic agreement of the opposition", the SDP says that "only one candidate is the winning option", the URA raises its hands and calls on others to find a single one now . And so the days, weeks and months pass.
DPS, on the other hand, is screwing up. With a reason. The former leader of LSCG, Miodrag Živković, said after his failure in a presidential race that "DPS would win even if donkeys ran". Maybe now is the chance to make it happen. That the DPS borrow from Darko Saveljić, from his farm, a noble animal and let it race with unique opposition candidates. Because after they destroyed the project of one candidate, now everyone will show theirs, and each of them will, of course, be unique. What do you think, would there be a second round? In which, together with DPS donkeys, one of the unique candidates of the opposition would also enter. Who defeated all other opposition candidates in the first. But not the unusual DPS candidate.
