If you allow, we would start the story of education in a pandemic like this: The contemporary history in its abbreviated version roughly reads: somehow, somewhere and sometime the virus mutated and attacked people; and then people certainly changed everywhere and now, so society mutated. Perhaps one of the biggest social changes is the division of labor and all other civilization forces into:
1. "essential" - one who must and can go to work in all epidemiological conditions;
2. the other remaining one, who can work "from home" or not work at all because she lost her job.
There is still no medical study that specifically deals with the state of health or immunity of cashiers, pharmacists or drivers of trucks, vans and city public transport. Nor will Marvel make a film in which, for example, the "Wonder Woman" of our time no longer has a leotard that highlights her breasts or a shield in her hands, but a work uniform washed in a thousand waters, and in her hands change that miraculously does not contain the Covid-19 virus . Elem, from this important civilizational and work result, we move on to education.

Right on the border between the two newly diagnosed human races - the one who goes to work from home and the one for whom work has moved into the house - there are "semi-essential", educational and educational workers. Like some sort of army reserve, they return to their classroom fronts on command, and when, at that moment, valid indicators say that the epidemic is abating. Those same indicators can leave them at home. The primary social function of education in the time of corona has become an indication of the severity of the "lockdown", a kind of meter for apparent normality. There are schools, there is no epidemic; there is an epidemic, there is no school,. And so until unconsciousness. If education were a switch, it would have broken from use by now.
And most likely it is.

Then.
This "have-not" school game is additionally generously "assisted" by electronic means of communication. The school lesson is shown as an episode of a television series: now art and chemistry can be "binged". More technologically equipped educators can hold their lessons in virtual classrooms, acutely wondering what else is going on, on their countless screens, watched by their students or students with the proverbial cameras and microphones not turned on. If education was in a problem - and it was - even before this epidemic, and in terms of how to be competitive with the countless forms of virtual and mobile entertainment, now that problem has taken on gigantic proportions. And it turned into a paradox: how to get people to find out and learn anything in the era of the greatest availability of knowledge?
The twenty-first century introduced the word "content" into the mainstream. It means images, words and ideas to which we are willing to give our time. It also turns out that funnier and more bizarre "content" takes precedence over all others - the human race likes to be entertained. And on the list of entertainment, education and/or upbringing certainly occupy the last place. By the way, flat-earth theory or the teachings of QAnon are less boring educational content than geography or political science to jaded school-goers. So it turned out that, in the jaws of the pandemic, the education system finally transformed into periodically organized mere "babysitting" of the younger generation staring at their mobile phones, while the older ones try not to be fired from their jobs.
With varying success.

And so, the school year will soon pass.
What was learned in the pandemic alternately functioning schools? Probably a little bit.
What, at the same time, has society learned about education and its implications? Even less.
What has civilization learned about itself? Looks like nothing.
What can be concluded from all this? So let's say this: that remedial education is perhaps the most important thing that would make sense to learn. And in order to understand how the vaccination of education is carried out, when the time comes.
In this environment, backward in education.
