The circus continues unstoppably in its most bizarre proportions, the well-known ones on which, after all, this semi-society or non-society rests. The tent is pitched, the clowns are always the same, familiar by now, their tricks are worn and transparent, but we applaud and don't stop. But not only that, the kind of audience we have here, the kind of fugitive mentality he embodied in us, applauds even when it clearly knows that this applause is fatal for itself. That behind his freneticness one hears thunder, crash and fracture. But that doesn't worry her, she simply doesn't want it any other way, nor does she want to see if that show brings something good for her, if she can see reality from it or learn something about herself. So that then, eventually, when he understands what is happening on the stage, he decides whether the applause makes any sense or not. In other words, here he is not applauding the one who is applauded, but the one who is used to applauding every circus. Even the one who works for his head.
More fantastic than any fantasy
The summer in our cities lasts as if it were the last, as if we should now make up for everything that is possible and missed, under the thought that they have let us go now, who knows when we will be able to do it again. And that doesn't mean anything to anyone, that lightly accepted rapture with which we rush headlong into every uncertainty and the future that is coming is fascinating to the extent that it would be instructive to investigate it in order to prove the insanity of the local man and his existence. Of course, no one will engage in such research on us, because societies that are not able to look at themselves, to at least continuously plan, weigh and try to direct something in their journey through time, generally cease to be anyone's concern. They ran rampant for a period outside of all contexts, only to be suffocated in their twisted endemicity. Because, as is well known, an endemic self-enamored with its chaotic and disordered nature is easily perishable goods. Evaporate, like the morning mist. Afterwards, if something remains, some archaeologists deal with the missing, dig a little, remove the dust and marvel at how it is possible that something like Bosnian society, as it is today, existed at all.
Why do I repeat all this like a repeating parrot and am surprised by what surprises few people here today. First of all, because the rational part of my brain currents does not allow me to believe that what is happening around me is really reality. Yes, many writers have shown, it is true, that reality viewed with a well-sharpened eye can be more fantastic than any fantasy, but that to this extent reality can be foolish, has hardly been recorded so far, no matter what kind of fiction. Every fantasy, I often feel, is powerless in the face of reality in this country. Here, just look. For twenty years, he has dissolved himself from this country from Laktaš, for twenty years he has sucked enormous resources from its breasts, and those who lie under his paws believe in his wet dreams of dissolution for twenty years. You can't dissuade them from that, because he, whatever he is, they believe, protects the pleasant warmth and stench of the herd. Those allegedly opposed to him from Miljacka have been fighting against his secessionist dissoluteness for as many years, their lungs are full of shisha smoke, state-building, multiculturalism and citizenship, and if they have caught any curves, they are smashing stone on stone. And, of course, these same people who keep them in the herd, believe for years that they will resist him and that they should be preserved as identity knights.
Kaleidoscope of schizophrenia
And it's a kaleidoscope of schizophrenia, smeared photos that wound the brain with the level of their vanity. However, as one might say, the people love it, are used to it and enjoy it, it seems. First they said, what's the use of vaccines, sit at home and wait. So we waited and there were no vaccines. After they finally found this vilayet on the radar of general European immunization, and appeased us with reasonable amounts of doses, so that we no longer drive to the neighborhoods for protection, the citizens unanimously said: we are not interested in immunization, we are strong and it is summer. In the end, between the unreasonableness and arrogance of the authorities and the unreasonableness and arrogance of the citizens stands an abyss of possible horrors. Let's have a healthy summer.
