There's no stress, no anger, when the bag is full - that's why we have to grab while we're in position because time flies... When I sent this summary of Miloš Medenica's writings to a friend from Kolašin, and asked for a comment, he briefly replied: "What can children get you into"?! It was an attempt by a traditional Montenegrin to defend Miloš Junior's parents or at least minimize their responsibility. That's why I told him back: "It's the education that's to blame, not the child. A mother reaps what she sows"! He didn't try to come up with an excuse, he just surrendered and, more for himself, concluded: "I agree. If it wasn't for her ambition, this wouldn't have happened."
Really, would Milos Medenica be in the files of Europol and on the international warrant today if his mother Vesna had given up a big career, a big city, a big octopus, if she had not entered a circle from which it is not easy to get out, except for many times at a higher price?!
When the Montenegrins stormed Konavle and Dubrovnik, to free southern Dalmatia from the "Ustasha", similar to what Putin is doing to Ukraine today because of the "Nazis", Vesna Medenica, whom no one had heard of at the time, much less knew, was an ordinary woman from the people , loyal to the Leader and the army, ready to, if necessary, stand by their side in the quest for Konavlja prosciutto, refrigerators and espresso from Stradun. Miloš was 4-5 years old at the time, he rode horses in the katuns in the summer, and already skied in Bjelasica in the winter, continuing the family tradition of his champion mother. He was probably rosy in the face, full of strength, raised on Kolašin cheese, bellows crust and his grandmother's kačamak.
If Vesna Medenica had remained loyal to Milošević and Yugoslavia without an alternative, today she would also be retired, with a few hundred euros less, but without a villa in Kolašin, without a house in Krašići, apartments in Podgorica, favorable loans and other rewards for being persistent and dedicated. work on the construction of captured judicial institutions. But even without a wanted son.
If, in 1997 or a few years later, Vesna had not lost her mind, but remained loyal to Momir and the SNP like Mašan, her children would not have grown up in Podgorica, living on the high ground, millions, and trucks, pure cocaine from Colombia, a heckler and percent, the Mojkovac and grand clan, they would read like the rest of the normal world only in the reports of independent media, the research of some NGOs, or they would see all this in the progress reports of the EU.
Like this, nothing.
Vesna's mother decided on a big city and a career, perhaps eager to justify the faith of her parents who saw in her the best judge or prosecutor, but also determined to provide her children with a better perspective than the one offered by the small and poor Kolašin. Seemingly nothing in dispute, many from the north came to the capital for similar reasons, but the civil service directed Medenica to a path that would lead her into a labyrinth of power, power and greed, where she would not choose what to accept, keep silent about, construct, what or who to set up, with whom to fight, make friends, work, not caring about the proverb that the circle he enters is just like that - you give a bank to enter and two to exit.
But it's not Vesna Medenica's fault, even less son Miloš - it's time's fault. That when a wise man shuts up, a fool speaks, and a fool gets rich! Even when it is taken into account that she also had someone to look up to in the judiciary that she rode, then Vesna could not help but make a mistake. Who still remembers Bob Vukčević, whom she succeeded as VDT, or his butcher Baka. Or the deputy Piperović who was arrested by the police of Vesna's later bodyguard Lalović in the same circle of millions and trucks, the mafia and sex trafficking, cocaine and Colombia. Medenica had someone to learn from on the other side of the Montenegrin judiciary, where on the throne of the Supreme Court, which she will one day occupy herself, she found a certain Ratko Vukotić, whom you have never heard of, and the much more famous chief of staff Blaž Jovanić, who is already then showed a weakness for money and creative interpretation of the law. Or not to mention the doyen of the Prosecutor's Office, Neno Vujošević, who will appear one day in the recorded conversations of Duško Knežević. As a macro-judiciary, which, for a certain fee, provided suitable prosecutors and judges for the passage of cases of controversial clients.
I doubt that Vesna Medenica studied Catherine the Great, but from the moment she rose to the top of the Montenegrin judicial institutions, she followed the motto of the greatest Russian empress - I will rule dictatorially, that's my job, and God will forgive me, that's his job. She subordinated the first prosecutor's office to the needs of the Court, so much so that after her it was quite logical that Ivica and Mourinho would take the positions of VDT and SDT. Then she sat down in the chair of the president of the Supreme Court, from where, at the height of her sense of power and arbitrariness, she would know how to slap official Brussels, accusing it of withholding IPA funds from completing the palace that was being built in the center of Podgorica for a decade for the empress of our judiciary. "But we will also deal with organized crime and with the European Commission and its positions regarding the situation in the Montenegrin courts", threatened the president of the VSCG sometime in mid-2019, i.e. a couple of years after her bodyguard Lalović was already registered with Europol as the leader of the OKG, which deals with cigarette and narcotics smuggling.
VM obviously did its job, but God seems to have failed. He did not help her to separate the children from the world that conquered them with its glamour, its abundance, the feeling that they could, that they deserved it, that it belonged to them. When, ten years ago, the EC began to shyly notice in its reports that in Montenegro there is no clear line between the holders of public office and the mafia, between the upper world and the underground, it became clear that the devil had played a joke and that one day, those same Europeans would , seemingly deranged and executed, begin extracting files and evidence of the criminal activities of the most powerful people in this country, their children, friends, godfathers and guardians.
This is how the Sky application of little Miloš surfaced these days, who, according to announcements, like Svetov's little Miloš, will appear on an international warrant, sentenced to wait in Belgrade or Colombia for the charges to expire and the warrant to be dropped. In which, as he wrote in one of the messages, he will have the full support of his mother, who will monitor everything closely, and thanks to her knowledge of law and procedure, will know how to protect and preserve him until everything becomes senseless. But don't forget. That is already God's work.
