TWO EYES IN THE HEAD

Milo and the business elite

It is much more reliable than forecasting or reading various researches on the topic "will Đukanović fall" to carefully observe how businessmen behave, who you can ask everything except how they earned the first million

Over time, a certain number of people gathered around Milo Đukanović whose only ideology is money and personal gain. Was and will be. It's about a pyramid of people who handle millions of euros and businesses that in the long term guarantee them the daily increase of that, for us mortals, enormous wealth.

All of them are still there, next to their master, glorifying him, praising him and patting him on the shoulders. They swear eternal loyalty to the ruler, but they listen carefully to heaven, which shouts louder and louder "bread, bread, master...".

Who will this business elite vote for on March 19, whom you can ask everything except how they earned their first million?

Although this question may seem superfluous because it is about people who are known to be very close and devoted to the politics of Milo Đukanović for decades, let's take a look at what is happening in the neighborhood.

In 2012, Boris Tadić rather unexpectedly lost the presidential election to Tomislav Nikolić. There were various explanations - due to the "white ballots", the lack of support for Frau Angela, or the Ipsos survey which showed that the victory of the former president of Serbia was almost a technical matter, which left many of his voters at home.

A good part of these reasons did contribute to Tadić's defeat, but two parallel processes with the same origin cost Boris another mandate.

When he came to power in 2004, Tadić had the support of those who, after October 5, instead of racing for decorations, had better things to do. They managed, one way or another, but more like that, in a very short time to acquire respectable sums of money and numerous properties, from villas in Dedinje to factory halls.

While they were counting pennies on the eve of the 2012 presidential elections, their only thought was how to preserve and possibly increase the wealth that they themselves knew, acquired thanks not to their business skills but exclusively with the help of that same Boris Tadić. And their unmistakable feeling said that those in power got a little carried away and that their political future is uncertain.

The second group had similar problems, only inversely proportional. During Tadić's rule, their wealth began to decrease drastically, thanks to those from the previous paragraph above, who took over all the quickly and easily profitable government jobs.

In short, the former wanted to ensure that in the event of a change of government, these new ones would not attack them, so they helped Nikolić and SNS more secretly than publicly. Those from the second column again hoped that they, with the new government, would get lucrative jobs. And so, due to a combination of circumstances, both groups found themselves on the same task - the overthrow of Tadić.

The rest is history.

Today, in Montenegro, the situation is, it seems to me, very similar to the one in Serbia in 2012.

Just a few examples, unimaginable until yesterday.

The Nikšić company "Uniprom hotels" of businessman Veselin Pejović did not receive approval for the conceptual design of the six-story hotel that he intended to build on the site of a one-story house across the street from the Old Town in Budva.

In mid-January, Finance Minister Aleksandar Damjanović signed a refusal decision to grant the second extension of the concession to the company "Jack Pot" for the casino in the hotel "Falkeinsteiner" in Bečići without paying a concession fee of two million euros.

Acting Chief State Architect Vladan Stevović overturned the decision of his predecessor Mirko Žižić, who approved the Podgorica businessman Veselin Barović and the companies V&B invest and City taxi to build an apartment-business complex in the center of Kolašin on a total of 3.735 square meters.

And not to enumerate further, these and other examples slowly, bit by bit, by themselves swarm in the head of blasphemous thoughts contained in only one motive - it was done, it was earned, now it should be preserved. Yes, He is to blame for the bag being full, but is it worth losing everything because of Him.

And this is where the problems for the ruler begin.

Has that moment come when the hands of the business elite will tremble while on March 19, staring at the ballot, they circle their favorite on the ballot?

Instead of a specific answer, forecast or reading various researches on the topic "will Milo fall", it is much more reliable to carefully observe what the businessmen do, say and behave from the beginning of the text.

They are rarely, almost never, wrong.
