Until the day before last night and the votes were counted, I thought that the main problem of politician Milan Knežević was that he could not cultivate the policy he was born and raised on, the one from the time of evil, and which cost the most to the people in whose name it was allegedly conducted. No serious person, including me, has ever written that Knežević should change his national identity, the church he prays in, or the language he speaks. Just to think - does it make sense to engage in politics, or any business, with the aim of always losing. And that you never, except at a counter-rally at the boss's in Belgrade, get into a situation where you think, let alone become prime minister or head of state. Or more importantly, is it unfair to pursue a policy that will keep your voters trapped in mythomania and celebrating historical defeats as the greatest victories.
For years I wrote about this kind of problem in Knežević's politics, only to realize on Sunday evening that with Milan the catch is not in planting but in transplanting - the man is condemned to be on the political sidelines for life because he persistently, for almost two decades, refuses to hair transplant Figuratively, of course. But what can I do for him, except to support him to be who he is. And to read my columns more carefully so that he would then comment on what was written and not on what he invented.
In any case, the results of DPS and ZBCG show that after three decades, civil and normal Montenegro outclassed those two social cankers, reducing them, as I announced before the election, to less than 40 percent of the electorate. And that was on a day when we had by far the lowest voter turnout.
Only eternally in love DPS analysts can celebrate the allegedly excellent result of the political wing of the mafia, even though it is tens of thousands of votes weaker, not only compared to 2020, but also compared to the recent presidential elections. The numbers are relentless. In the first round, Đukanović received almost 50 more votes than the Zajedno coalition, which more or less stood behind him in those elections. Or even more devastating - the day before yesterday, the DPS with satellites received as many as 90 thousand votes less than in the 2020 elections. On the other hand, Knežević's group lost 20 thousand votes compared to its presidential candidate Andrija Mandić in March. Not to mention the almost 70 thousand weaker result compared to 2020, because then the church was not only their partner, but also their leader. But Knežević also says that they won. Instead of both, both DPS and ex DF face the facts and the real state of affairs and prepare for what awaits them. DPS needs to get out of the shadow of Bemax and the First Family and, through opposition activity, truly become a civil and European party that has a clear deviation towards nationalism, corruption and the mafia. And the former DF to work with Milan in order to finally transplanted hair - that is, became an acceptable partner to the parties of the political center in an attempt to form at least a sustainable, if not stable, government.
And there is no stable government because PES experienced an even faster decline after its meteoric rise and growth. The main reason is also clear - it is not even Do Kwon, much less Miloš Vuković, but the frivolity of the Main Board of the party and their support for the dubious crypto vision of frivolous leader Spajić. It is difficult, indeed, to understand on what basis the Main Board, after all, stood behind Mickey and not Jakov. Instead of supporting Milatović's plan, which brought them the best result in Podgorica and a triumph in the presidential elections, the party leadership once again believed in the fog and delusions of formal leader Spajić. Thus, instead of a large coalition of the political center, which was the only way to convert the capital obtained on April 2 into a triumph in the parliamentary elections, the GO of PES believed that they did not need anyone because they could take power themselves. And they are giving society what little Milović dreamed of, PES instead of DPS. To spread such fog, Spajić formed a whole team of brokers from various meridians, who began to market public opinion surveys according to which PES has 44 percent, alone, without a coalition, in order to reach 36 percent on the eve of the elections, as a minimum below which they cannot go. . And we have seen the results. In the first round of presidential elections, Jakov received almost 20 thousand more votes than PES the day before yesterday in the parliamentary elections. In terms of percentage, it is almost 30 percent weaker result of PES. The fact that for months Bemax propaganda and analysts have been promoting Mickey as a true leader, while demanding Milatović's expulsion from the party and impeachment from the position of president, was not even a warning to the members of the Main Board.
Spajićeva the strategy of the shrew (the name of a domestic film from 1987) and the rejection of the idea of a coalition of the center led to Sunday's low response and to these results. Everything that I wrote last Thursday happened, unfortunately, the day before yesterday. Instead of a stable majority in the center and a stable government, we will have elections maybe in a few months or, in the best case, a cabinet formed that will last a year and a half or two at the most. Well done, Spajic.
Both Democrats and Ura celebrated on Sunday evening. First of all, restored trust, revitalized relations and the fact that out of the 4 major coalitions, they were the only ones to get at least a few percent and a few thousand more votes than their presidential candidate Bečić in the recent elections. But it was also seen in them that they dreamed more, especially to be third in strength, stronger than Mandić and Knežević. Possibly, but in some future elections. Until then, the Democrats should return to the factory settings, that is, to the civic platform. And the decision to make a pact with Ur was very significant in that sense. In addition, they will have to distance themselves more thoroughly from Nova and the DNP, because the attempt to take a part of the most conservative part of the electorate by collaborating with Knežević did not give results. Running for with the right they lost left voters who went to PES or abstinence. Now the question for DCG is - how to get them back?!
As for brother Dritan and Ura - they are also celebrating, and when it passes they should see - what Abazović will do with Ura but also what Ura will do with him. It would be bad for them to part ways, both for one side and for the other. But in order to avoid the fate of LSCG or PzP, the leader must adapt to the organization and not the other way around, Hooray for Dritan. No one is more deserving than Abazović and Ura for starting the dismantling of the octopus and the process of expropriating the mafia that ruled Montenegro for decades. That is why, since August 2020, they have been the main target of DPS and their propaganda. The problems started when Abazović took off, wanting to be the Montenegrin Vučić or Rama, to dismantle, arrange, and finish everything himself, including the godfather of the famous ferry "Hand of Justice" and the launch of Luča into orbit... Abazović's courage probably saved Ura from a corrupt death, similar to the one with Pajović's Positive, but that self-love, on the other hand, was reflected in the quality and way of realizing numerous ideas and goals that were quite appropriate. That's why Dritan needs Bečić, to keep him on the ground and out of celebrity temptation. But Aleksa also needs Abazović so that decisions can be made more quickly and clearly, even when they are the most difficult.
If the Reds and Greens would continue to build relations and strengthen and expand their newly born coalition, then they could count on having a stronger negotiating position in the negotiations regarding the eventual government, and also be more prepared for new elections whenever they come. Especially if Spajić continues to lead PES so successfully. In the end, when all is said and done, civil society has won. That's why Knežević is angry with me. And Milo even more so, but he is smarter so he doesn't comment. For the first time since 1990 and the first parliamentary elections, instead of soldier voters, we got citizen voters. And the one who sends a message to the political elite by boycotting the elections and the one who clearly announces with his voice that after the DSP there will be no SNS. That is why the main message sent by the citizens to the party leaders is clear - we are now asking ourselves. And that is the most significant fact of Sunday's elections, which will determine every subsequent vote. With which they will force the political class, or the largest part of it, towards seriousness and hard work, which can only bring them a more massive turnout at the elections and the majority of voters' trust. That's why very soon Milan will have to transplant his hair, Spajić will have to cut his head, and Dritan will have to grow a mustache. What does it all mean, ask Brad Pitt.
