"I think that many political leaders have currently turned Montenegro into a children's playground". President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović
Sense has lost its character since stupidity (thanks to the media) became influential!
Recently, the public opinion of Montenegro has become a space for denunciations and confrontations, which often begin with a call for "fraternal reconciliation". Some of these threats are grotesquely cloaked in supposed spirituality, but they always contain accusations and discreet calls for lynching. Their morbidity goes on unhindered because of the institutional banter and all this mess lasts for a few days, after which collective amnesia sets in again. Of course, everything happens for such a long time that important events could pass before the eyes of the public!
We do not know when the Committee for Comprehensive Electoral Reform will start its work, there are no known proposals for laws on the Parliament of Montenegro and the Government of Montenegro, the Spatial Plan of Montenegro and spatial urban plans of cities have not been adopted, the management of the Real Estate Register of State Property is not sufficiently successful, suspicious are changes to the Law on State Property, an increase in VAT is announced, there is almost no effective fight against corruption... but that's why we have public office holders whose tense statements further dimension the social distance that everyone, including the diplomatic representatives of the EU countries, neglects. Perhaps this kind of social constellation suits Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and his Europe Now Movement, because they do not speak out about these and similar incidents at all! Why?
If something does not want to be done, then the first thing to do is postpone it, and the postponement is best implemented by creating a problem that diverts the attention of both the individual and the public from the burning problem. Of course, in doing this, it is necessary to convince as many people as possible that they have limited abilities and are not capable of doing something, as well as that it would not be appropriate for them to get involved in any way. Especially in this segment, the rule that "successful" people should deal with politics is promoted. Asset records of deputies and executive officials covering key government positions are also indicative, because based on those files, their "alleged national vulnerability" from the previous three-decade administration is best confirmed. Along with all this, media promotion of vulgarity, highlighting of dubious successes, carnivalization of public activity, "ethnic readers" of Njegoš, Andrić, Selimović... and, of course, hate speech!
Every hate speech in the Balkans takes place without an epilogue - we don't find out what the truth is, what is the real motive of the hatred expressed, so often it was nothing at all! That infernal direction, which we believe comes from a people affected by a certain injustice, has become an integral part of public action and it targets certain individuals and groups as enemies of the community on whose behalf they speak. And who speaks and how is it spoken in the name of the people?
Well, on our political scene, first of all, and from before, we have those who are recognized by their inflated phraseology. We see this in some young leaders from the DPS, whose gesticulations are similar to those of Milo Đukanović. But, in addition to this sophisticated dusting of the public, which on this occasion should be pointed out in passing, the most worrying are those who make us even more crazy with their banality. That infection spread to all spheres of life and became the supporting pillar of the permanent conflict in Montenegro.
Purposeful infantilisms of prof. Dr. Branko Radulović, the ironic verbalisms of Milan Knežević, as well as the chauvinistic ambivalences of Marko Kovačević and Dario Vraneš are not the diversity that can bring change to the social situation in Montenegro. At least not for the better! The biggest obstacle to the establishment of dialogue and tolerance is scandalous and controversial behavior, escape from responsibility, unbridled identity and ideological exclusivity, as well as frantic political intrigues. People who are not able to restrain these types of destructive behavior on the public scene are in the last case dangerous in themselves!
When writing about hate speech, one psychological circumstance is somehow neglected that further burdens this chronic curse of ours. Namely, constantly causing conflicts in public, or in internal relations, is a tactic of those people who are actually desperate for attention. The amount of attention gained in this way represents the human energy that those politicians who, in terms of their personal characteristics, do not differ at all from obscure characters from reality shows crave. This is best confirmed by their comments on social networks after the hate speech. Unfortunately, that hunger and that desire do not have their final satisfaction because they appear again and again and their temporary nature is very short.
We always recognize this need for political cannibalism, regardless of certain stylizations, not only by emphasizing exclusivity, but also by uncritically evaluating one's own possibilities, and therefore hate speakers, and those close to them, often fall from the superego into self-accusation, self-pity, apathy and self-denial. Of course, hate speakers almost always end up in a fight with their former like-minded people and with those whose interests they represented or covered up with their actions or statements.
The President of Montenegro is right because he knows best what kind of children's playground he sprung from!
