"My uncles who were born in Montenegro and live abroad are in the same situation. Their children who have our surnames, genes, they have no right to the citizenship of Montenegro. There is no country in the world that gives up its children more easily than Montenegro, in my opinion it is an unprecedented shame".
Who would have thought?!
A former official of Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., a crypto broker in the red, a child of the postmodern dibidus that we are witnessing, in addition to this, a Japanese student, i.e. Milojko Spajić, biologically feels and lives a populist vision of a country in which we are all children.
According to Spajić's confession, the state is our mother, a seminary, a genetic gorge from which descendants emerge, a weakling who tastes with the same spoon and bathes in the same basin. The state is not made up of laws, rational standards and planning documents, you don't have to respect the state even at the prime minister's hour, you don't even have to read the exposé, but that's why you have to respect your uncle and the scurry, because those blood feuds of ours are the only real legality.
According to the reformist Montenegrin prime minister, the issue of citizenship is a state of emotions, not a political assessment and concern for a small electoral system in which 2.000 voters bring superiority and power. For Spajić, the biological concept suitable for an ancient tribe is crucial, so he proposes dual citizenship, so that people who do not live in Montenegro can vote.
I have to point out one small problem here. Dual citizenship is not proposed by Spajić, but by Andrije Mandić's nationalist right-wing party, a political current that protects the business interests of the President of Serbia. But nobody needs to worry about that, says Spajić. The people who brought the fuckin' population census to the brink of an incident, agents of Putin's and Vučić's deep state, local Chetniks who threaten infidels in the 21st century through Spajić are getting more than they asked for. Not only will their electoral-ethnic projections of Dušan's empire become a possibility, but they will also have a stock market dummy, a yuppie Japanese doll so that their ethno-nationalism and electoral engineering can pass off as a lovely start-up idea.
Hidden under a tablecloth like a schoolboy at a wedding, while bearded cousins have a big orgy above the table, this libertarian introduces genetics into public speech, saying: "my uncles".
I thought, by God, before this last one statements that Spajić is only interested in the salary, that he also sees his uncles as tax units, but I seem to have been mistaken. Beneath the cold armor of an economic essentialist and business Taliban, it seems that the heart of a noble beats, a kinship pioneer who sees his role in harmonizing passport records with genealogy. Quite by chance, this is the political priority of Mandić's clique, so that they can organize their party machine and cement their political status through people who, like Mandić himself, have been breaking the law for years and publicly flaunting two passports.
In that way, the illegal becomes legal, voting becomes an ethnic fluctuation, of course without serious analysis, without social consensus, at the will of the one who broke the law first - Mandić himself, that is, his political patron from Belgrade. The one who proudly based his political path on challenging and humiliating the Montenegrin state, gets a chance to do the impossible with an easy jump, to change the electoral calculus. Simple mathematics will be justified with fiddling reasons, further ethnic proofs, and the civil, business, official logic of the state will remain a Brussels fantasy. What the modern state should be, service and administrative norm, is now becoming an emotional rebalancing and a return to the glory of ancestral desires, politically undermined through the construct of the alleged diaspora.
At the moment I am writing this, June 21, 2024, there is no water or electricity in my apartment, it is 40 degrees outside, most of Montenegro is in an energy collapse. Nevertheless, it will not be understood as a problem, we will wait an hour, two, three, to cry collectively and turn on the air conditioner. These are things that do not touch anyone, that we are used to. But we can't get used to the fact that people who pay taxes in another place, who vote in another state, should not decide on a state that has neither half a million voters nor reliable electoral laws.
In a statement to the media, Spajić said that he should not be afraid of the new law on dual citizenship. He says that future passport holders will have to wait ten years for the right to vote. Ten years? What is ten years for the eternal idea of an ethnocentric province as publicly represented by Mandić and the other dukes.
Spajić claims that only those who pay taxes and spend six months a year in Montenegro will get a passport. But can you trust a state that has not been able to edit the voter list for thirty years, an administration that has not been able to organize a census. What is the guarantor that this law is not an introduction to blood-stained menaces and murky stamping? In the end, how can you trust a prime minister who has been caught at least five times in white lies about his passport, house, wife, crypto-investing, and other youthful sins.
What is required by the proposed law on dual citizenship, one would say, has nothing to do with our children, which Spajić pathetically refers to. Rather, it will be an attempt to coordinate the voting machines of the right-wing populist forces that rule in Serbia and are gaining strength in Montenegro.
Serbia has been hijacked by a parapolitical faction that persistently tries to expand its political influence in the region, through vassal branches and Cossack bands. It seems that cousin Spajić is also ready to ride that horse, all for the love of his uncle.
