"No one could believe that at the very beginning of the 21st century, the persecution and exodus of a people would happen on the old continent", the President of the Assembly and the ideological leader of the parliamentary majority, Andrija Mandić, began his announcement well. Because it was an exodus, about 250 thousand people were evicted or exiled, and nearly two thousand were killed or disappeared, of which 677 were civilians. The crime took place on the Old Continent, in the neighborhood of Croatia, and it was on the threshold of the 21st century, in the summer of 1995 to be exact.
As expected, in the continuation of the address, there was no confrontation with the roots and causes of the mentioned exodus, everything was reduced to pathetic whining about the bad fate of the Serbs, which the hateful Western powers, throughout history, tried to extinguish - "but, despite everything, we are still here". Mandić's address to the Montenegrin public culminated in national delirium: "We remember. There is no death for the Serbian people"!
And if the announcer AM had even a little personal dignity and responsibility, on the occasion of August 4 and the "Day of Remembrance", he would first apologize to the Serbs themselves. Especially those whose loved ones lost their lives, and many of them lost their homes. If the years, as he recently boasted, had made him wiser, especially from the position of head of the parliament, Mandić would have mentioned the exodus of Croats in his address - before Bljesk and Ulje. Because it is about the same war and the victims of the same policy. By 1995, there were over 15 of those victims, from Mandić, Bečić, Joković, the forgotten Croats. Which is logical, because the invasion of Croatia by Milošević's army and paramilitary forces, which was under the thumb of the then Mandić, lasted more than three years! Almost half of the Croatian territory was occupied, entire cities were razed to the ground, and shells fell on Zagreb at one point. If not for himself, but for the sake of the country he represents, Mandić had to mention the exodus of almost 700 thousand Croats who (according to the data of the Croatian Government Office for Refugees and Exiles) were displaced throughout Croatia from 1991 to 1995 and, in part, of Europe. Many of them never returned to their homes, and a significant number never returned to the country of their birth. Finally, the balance of that policy, which speaker Andrija, with the assistance of the reluctant Aleksa and the powerful Joković, is trying to hide is over 200 thousand killed and two million displaced. Among them there are many Serbs and Croats.
Mandić did not forget these others, but deliberately skipped over them, in order to avoid facing the true reasons for the Serbian exodus from Krajina, which is celebrated on August 4. I ask a lot from him, to spit on himself, comrade Milan K would tell him. Or to defeat himself, says the Bible. If he wanted to get into the reasons for the suffering of his brothers, Andrija M. could have started the address in a similar, but true and credible way. Let's say: "No one could have believed that at the very beginning of the 21st century, on the ruins of communism and the Berlin Wall, when all the captured peoples of Central and Eastern Europe rushed from the Soviet casemate to democracy and freedom, that the Serbs and their leader would choose the path aggression and suffering, the largest in Europe after the Second World War".
I'm so rude. I ask the President of the Assembly not to lie and to send a message from such a high place to the citizens of Montenegro, especially those who do not remember the bad times, or were born after them, that the state policy of Serbia, personified by one Slobodan Milošević, and wholeheartedly supported SANA and the SPC, led the former SFRY into violent dissolution and a four-year bloody war. The final part of which was the Storm, i.e. the expulsion of the Serbian population from Croatia. But how can you expect truth and facts from Mandić (plus Alek and Joko) when the aforementioned Milošević was their political leader and role model, and some Karadžići and young men are still their national heroes today?!
So, before the Flash and the Storm, which Croatia celebrates and Serbia mourns, three wars took place because of an easy promise and a dangerous threat that all Serbs, by grace or by force, will live in one state! Although the SFRJ, which they attacked with tanks (and then destroyed it), was just that - the largest Greater Serbia that was ever created.
- He who draws the sword will perish by the sword - says Jesus to one of his disciples in one of the Gospels, which a great believer and Orthodox AM should know. And thus explain what happened when "the war came home". And the sword to the one who drew it. Serbia first had to open homes, sports halls, abandoned factory halls for 250 thousand compatriots who fled or were expelled from Croatia. That after a few years, in an almost identical way, for the same reasons certainly, Serbia lost part of its territory, Kosovo, and a few tens of thousands of Serbs fled from that area as well.
Decades have passed, Mandić has not changed. It sounds morbid that the same man personifies and propagates the policy that cost the Serbs so much. Both people and territory. It would probably be an unimportant political fact if Mandic had remained a political marginal, which would have happened if the sinister politics of the nineties had not become the official ideology of the current government of Serbia. Instead of the slogan "all Serbs in one country", we are now listening to the narrative of the "Serbian world", it is true that the tanks are not yet on the streets, but Vučić is bragging about the number of planes and the modernization of the army. And every now and then, unprovoked, he says that Serbia is ready to defend every inch of its territory and every Serb. At the same time, the Serbian Prime Minister Vučević, in his inaugural speech, laments the exit to the sea, i.e. Montenegro. If it was her, he said, "it would be much easier for us to get what we need to get." And it would be easier to defend Kosovo"!
With such a policy and propaganda narrative, official Serbia, the same SPC and the Academy of Sciences, Mandic and other political puppets from the region, are again pushing the Serbian people into a dead end, even though their mouths are full of concern for the fate of that same people. This is called manipulation, with the aim of defending the government, even at the highest cost. Just as Ranko Krivokapić said that Milo dangerously divides Montenegro in order to plunder it unhindered, so does Vučić with his leaders - he keeps the Serbs in dreams of greatness, justice, strength, sacrifice, while the country of Serbia sinks into ever-increasing divisions, nazification, corruption , lack of freedom, and its economy and standard of citizens lag behind Romania, let alone one of the old members, founders of the European Union.
That's why it was much more healing for Mandić, and especially for the people he addressed on the occasion of August 4, if he just said: I am asking for forgiveness from the bottom of my heart! Therefore, for everything that Milošević and his helpers did to the Serbian people, at the threshold of the 21st century. Just that one sentence would have helped the Serbs much more in understanding reality and seeing the future, than Andrija's whitewashing of history, untruths and spins with which he keeps his "own" people in delusion and hungover.
But, obviously, the leader of the Serbs in Montenegro does not care much for his own or other people's. Mandić's storm completely sucked Bečić, Joković, Danilović and other alleged civic leaders. Spajić and Ibrahimović ran away from the class, although this is also a clear political position because - silence is approval. After Jasenovac, this was a new attack on good-neighborly relations with Croatia, which only deepens enmity with a partner in NATO and a member of the European Union. Therefore, the inclusion of Montenegro in the golden club of the EU - more and more remains an empty sled.
