Concealing the wrongdoings of those in positions of power is one of the frequent forms of deepening differences in the social framework of this country. Bh. the public has been facing this problem for many years regarding the fact that many crimes go unpunished and that many people who are perpetrators are either never discovered or remain beyond the reach of the law. Thus, trust in what are the most important judicial instances is brought to the lowest limits, and the space for insecurity and the feeling of hopelessness grows to enormous proportions. Let's just remember that we still don't have court verdicts in the cases of the murders of David Dragičević and Dženan Memic, so it will be clear to anyone who is even reasonable about what it is about in that sense. In other words, there are those who are in any case above the law, whose crimes are covered up and protected, because if they were discovered, it would mean that an octopus with much longer criminogenic tentacles is unraveling in their background, which often reach the very top of the government.
This creates a general inequality, that is, we are clearly told that we are not all equal, that there are those who are more equal, who can do anything without being looked down upon for one reason or another. Most often, these are the reasons for the mentioned position of power, because when an individual who has "exaggerated" his arrogance is exposed within such a structure, all the necessary authorities are alerted in order to protect an entire clan or a hidden community, and many hands remain dirty and many persons involved in dishonorable actions. While those who are damaged and threatened by those actions are left to themselves, forgotten by everyone and powerless in the face of machinery much greater than the need for fair punishment and achieving some kind of justice.
The case of actor Moamer Kasumović, who horrified the public of our country and region these days, represents only the tip of the iceberg of what are the essential problems of concealing violence, which is deeply rooted in all segments of our society. On the one hand, the fact that it is possible to redeem the punishment for lewd acts against minors and that the judgment remains hidden far from the public, and the perpetrator still walks freely on the streets without adequate public and moral condemnation of his crime, is a shameful example of how the law does not apply equally to everyone, that is, how those who have money can in every sense bypass the essential responsibility for their offense against the law, regardless of the scale of their act. And if we bear in mind that there is a legal clause by which a prison sentence of up to one year can be redeemed, the fact that Kasumović's crime remained hidden for so long, that it was not known about, and that it had no essential repercussions within the framework of this society and the public , seems perverted and backwards. Because if the theater, where one of the actor's victims spoke, is the only place where satisfaction and justice can be obtained, then we exist in complete lawlessness and madness. I am not underestimating the importance of the theater, as a space where such a form of protest can be expressed and the pernicious acts of individuals and an entire group can be pointed out, but in order for every person to feel equally protected and safe, much more is needed, the state is needed which is ready to protect each of its citizens.
On the other hand, it seems unconvincing to say the least that nothing was known about this case in Sarajevo for so long, in other words, it seems from the reactions of Kasumović's colleagues that everyone was shocked by what we learned from the public, and if you look a little deeper, it is quite it is clear that Kasumović and many other predators from the world of culture were and are known, but that they remain essentially hidden by various machinations within the profession, until the ultimate consequences are reached, as was the case in this case. If we go back a few years and remember the advertising within the framework of the group "I did not seek", we will see that there are many candidates like Moamer Kasumović, but still, due to their established positions, they remain untouchable and beyond the reach of the courts. Sometimes it is simply not easy to talk about your traumatic experience, first of all because of different forms of pressure, in this case it happened and it is time to make it a practice, as long as each and every individual is not safe and protected, we are a society deeply mired in our misery and hopelessness.
