There are even 45 percent of Montenegrins. In fact - almost 45 percent. Andrija Nikolić, the head of the DPS parliamentary club, clicked, although his intention was not to toast or mark anything, but to clarify the statement from the previous day - this list did not bring significant changes.
Although Milo Đ. the founder and owner of DPS worked hard. Nikolić, of course, did not say that, but the conclusion is self-imposed after his statement that there are 45 percent of us, almost, and that this is a sign that almost nothing has changed in ten years. I'm signing!
All that was needed was for Andrija Nikolić to explain, or answer, why this census did not bring significant changes, if a decade and a half is a long enough period in the life of a society and community for changes to occur?! In all fields, even regarding the national issue. And a change for the better and not for the worse, because even Nikolić shyly admits that the number of Montenegrins is almost the same as in 2011, which means that there are still fewer of them, only by a few per thousand, not a percentage.
Even more directly, the question for the head of the parliamentary club and his party would be - how, for example, is the percentage of citizens who are in favor of a new referendum on union with Serbia from 45 percent in 2006, now between 7 and 8 percent, while the census showed that they are national Montenegrins on the same, as 12 years before?! Or almost on the same. Not to mention "small", Nikolić would say.
Ubi bene ibi patria, the wise Latins wrote long ago. Where I feel good, there is my homeland. If, therefore, from 2006, after the referendum, until August 2020, the DPS, together with its traditional partners, had done well - would last year's census have brought significant changes?! What then could Andrija Nikolić and his party celebrate from the heart and soul, and with all the bells?! Instead of bending over backwards to explain to various gymnasts what they meant yesterday when AN said that this list did not bring anything new. Almost, if not.
Psychology would conclude that this reaction of the head of the DPS parliamentary club reflects his mixed feelings, fear and happiness. According to the system, as we hoped, we got married well. Namely, it seems as if the champions of the DPS truly feared that the character and special act of MĐ would drive a significant percentage of Montenegrins to the Serbs, which, together with the field effect of the hero of the work Marko Parezanović and his network, could even lower the total percentage of Montenegrins below the percentage of all Montenegrin Serbs?! If the diagnosis is correct, if the new, young and beautiful leadership of the DPS was frightened by the results of the census, and since their eyes are wide in fear, Andrija Nikolić could not hide it, but openly clicked that there are 45 percent of Montenegrins, almost - then everything this means that at the very top of the party, they are finally aware that Đukanović and his clique did not take care of the citizens and the general interest, but of their private accounts and ambitions. The Latin Ubi bene ibi patria in the interpretation of the MĐ clan was reformulated into - Hit and skin!
That the state led by the DPS with traditional partners, led by the Bosniak Party, strengthened institutions, dispensed justice instead of injustice, suppressed partitocracy and corruption, broke and did not give wings to the mafia, that it created new jobs, raised the standard, that Milo tried to overpower Serbia with digital services, artificial intelligence, green energy, conservation of space, and not with flags, clans, turbo folk, divisions and hatred - where would our end be. And how much more comfortable would Andrija Nikolić feel after the 2023 census, because he could easily state that the percentage of Montenegrins is almost at the record level, from 1991?! Over 60 percent, then. Like this, nothing.
Like this, shut up, we did well, Nikolić. Especially if you take into account that the official Serbia and its leader declared the census in the neighboring country more important for national interests than the one in their own house. Which Vučić himself admitted the other day. He just couldn't stand it. Instead of clenching his teeth, or his upper lip, as the English would say, he should keep quiet about the "Pyrrhic victory", i.e. the fact that the percentage of Montenegrins is almost the same, which means lower than the one in 2011, but still significantly higher than the percentage of Serbs - AV decided to he lifts himself but also his puppets and the "field" in Montenegro celebrating, in the style of Aleksa Bečić, "another great result". The Serbs, Bečić would say, achieved a 0,19 percent better score than in 2011, but also an almost 25 percent higher performance than in 1991, which means that the Serbs did better in October 2023 in Montenegro than in the summer of 1389 in Kosovo, which all together, Aleksa would add, makes the conclusion of President Vučić logical that even "brutal campaigns cannot destroy the position of the Serbian people, let alone their identity, culture, Cyrillic alphabet"! Plus, Milomir Marić, Jelena Karleuš and Milan Knežević.
That's why Andrija Nikolić, by a per thousand if not some percentage, turned out to be more satisfied with the results of the census than AV, Mandić, Joanikije and Marko Parezanović. Which, to paraphrase Vučić, despite the brutal campaign to destroy the Montenegrin identity, Latin and not only Cyrillic - remained empty-handed. They were not helped by the fact that the census was organized by their puppet government, which opened the door wide for a brutal campaign, hiding behind the naive story that the census is a demographic and not a national issue. That's why Prime Minister Spajić acted tragicomically, after the results were announced, celebrating the supposed victory of the citizens of Montenegro because he, unknown and undefined, is not interested in all those nations, languages, churches and similar trivia.
When everything is added up and compared, it turns out that even Milo and Vučko, united, let alone separated, failed to turn Montenegro into Dodikstan. Republika Srpska 2. Kill bene ibi patria and not hit and peel - I guess it is now clear to Andrija Nikolić and the new leadership of DPS what they have to do in the future. If until the next census in 2031 they pursue a policy that differs in many respects from the one bequeathed to them by Đukanović, then they will wait for new results with less fear and stress. Even after them, Nikolić will have no need to clarify anything because everything will be more than clear, and the percentage of national Montenegrins has changed significantly compared to the declaration from 2023. Instead of the hypnotized Montenegrin Đukanović, we need a state-building and democratic leader, who will work for a society of equal opportunities for everyone, where personal qualities and abilities will determine the individual's position, instead of party affiliation and national frustration. Ubi bene ibi patria, Nikolic.
