"I am proud to be awarded the Order of Saint Arsenius of Sremac, both as a believer of the Serbian Orthodox Church and as a person. I am happy that the church recognized my faith, dedication and the help I did, as any true believer would do. What someone does not know who is Saint Arsenije, it would be useless to explain to him. For the sake of the Montenegrin public, I will remind you that he was the second Serbian archbishop who succeeded Saint Sava, which might be important for Ivanović certain values - his relics are in the Ždrebaonik monastery in Danilovgrad.
I am especially pleased that the act of honoring was performed in the church in Sremski Karlovci where Saint Peter of Cetinje was ordained. He is the only saint who was ordained in that church, and I was honored 240 years after his ordination. I won't even talk about how much I helped many temples in Montenegro, like this one in Sremski Karlovci, our clergy and church know that best.
I am aware that the SNP and I are the target of constant attacks by Mr. Ivanovic because of our credit for signing the Basic Agreement. This is the greatest victory of our believing people over those who wanted to steal our holy places.
I am not interested in what those who have not achieved their ambitions write. My goal is to improve the standards of our citizens, equality and social justice, which I have been committed to for decades. Ivanovic must respect the diversity in Montenegro and stop fueling intolerance, because such thoughts are long behind us, which is how he would finally become a professional.
And for Ivanovic, we pray to God to call him back and to return to the honorable path of Saint Peter of Cetinje and our ancestors."
