Of course it's all (the world of politics) a bunch of hypocrites and fraudsters, but the idea that the better option is a hyper-hypocrite and a hyper-fraudster is insane. Dilettante, without medicine.
Or projecting some kind of mythical beast of the "deep state", which was allegedly defeated by Trump? So if such a thing, with such powers existed, do you think it wouldn't find a way to deal with Trump? His victory shows that American democracy is not a foil, as it is mostly done in our region.
But the following is interesting: all the enemies of democracy are overjoyed, all those who hate America rejoice and claim that this is good. Look at the list of joyful, it seems like Who's who among freaks: of Dodika do Jovan Jeremic, od Carleus do Vučić and his Montenegrin poodles, from Marie Le Pen do Orban.
The return of DT points to that constructional problem with democracy - the nature of the majority can be very questionable. In short, it's not a problem that Trump exists - the problem is that Trump's America clearly exists...
Nevertheless, Trump is impossible without the crisis of the liberal left, which became ridiculous in its labyrinths of dilemmas and questions that have a high moral or intellectual value, but - simply "scare" most people. The dilemmas of transgender identity and everything that comes from it will be hard to explain to Gerard from Ohio, an unemployed warehouse worker. As important as some questions were in the context of a direct confrontation with the ideology of superficiality, they seemed like an endless shot in the foot...
The way Trump broadcasts his disdain for any form of intellectualism is inexcusable. As much as the above-mentioned storekeeper from Ohio, no doubt, likes it. Of course, he's not the only one - it's a very present attitude among politicians of all eras, but few have shown it as brazenly and unabashedly as he.
Also his anti-woman essence: in the end both times he won against a woman, candidates intellectually superior to him in every sense, while in the only match with a man he lost, to an allegedly senile blanket. Remember his observations about women and the preferred methods of seduction. Egomania and superficiality, reality spirituality, therefore - ideal material for a politician.
It is important to clarify - Trump is a symptom, he is not the cause of anything, nor does he have the weight to be the cause, but as an ecstasy of superficiality, he is perfect to appear as a consequence, as a twilight symptom of this epoch.
By all accounts, we are living in a time when the world balance established after the bloody experience of the Second World War is beginning to collapse. The political architectonics that enabled a significant period of global progress - from decolonialization to modern political freedoms - is now about to collapse. The one who rejoices in this is like the inhabitant of Pompeii who rejoices in the year 79 at the smoke rising from the top of Mount Vesuvius.
