Societies that devour people

We have become societies that languish for decades in misery from which they cannot take a single step forward, returning again and again to tried and tested models of destruction and unrest.

The comprador capitalism that we so wholeheartedly adopted in these areas after the collapse of Yugoslavia, selling it as a supposedly elected democracy, all those political castes that came and remained in power through the formation of brutal ethno-nationalism, seducing partitocratic feudalism as the foundations of their rule, in its essence carries the most drastic forms opposition to life itself. He rests on death as his fuel, on the blackness that tries to suppress every real flare of the light of existence, and as such he constantly produces tragedies that devalue all meaning and suppress the hope that things can really change here. That is, that we can move in the direction of some utopian dream, of reconciliation, of creating conditions that will favor us at some historical moment to be the creators of a framework that will be more humane, closer to man and less murderous. If in some years immediately after the Yugoslav wars it seemed that circumstances were relaxing, that some sense was really emerging in the sense of understanding what happened to us, so that we could come up with some kind of existence and coexistence after those difficult experiences, today that impression is completely absent. .

It is certain that in the entire region we have fallen into heavy colors and regression, where tribal barbarisms have their main primacy, are constantly renewed and continue to nullify any possibility of dissonant actions and actions. Here I am not referring primarily to the political relations between the countries of the region, but above all to the fact that each of these countries has become a freakish creation in itself, in which little works, where the authorities have become an end in themselves, without any regard for to the people who make up the essence of a country as such. It is no coincidence that most of the former Yugoslav republics are losing their population more and more today, that millions of their inhabitants who could have been the driving force of development and change have long since left here. Realizing that these are countries that, with their pernicious and criminal attitude towards all vital hubs of society, long ago gave up on their population. In other words, that it is futile to invest your life time in something that offers no possibility of change. What is left in these areas is mostly dispossessed and depopulated, hammered into the concept by everyday practice and engineering of alienation that has no sensibility for anything other than its own benefits, malfeasance and corruption. If we add to that the multi-decade manipulation of inter-ethnic fears, we have a picture and an opportunity of what is the collective destruction and general regression of all of us today and here.

We have become societies that for decades languish in misery from which they cannot take a single step forward, returning again and again to the tried and tested models of destruction and unrest, which in the beginning cancels out every positive potential of the place where we are, the culture we inherit. In these circumstances, every segment of society is completely devalued, superficiality and arrogance reign in all aspects. And opportunities open up for those who try to get rich overnight through the line of least resistance, fraud, party swaying, embezzlement and nepotism. The degradation of every kind of expertise and professionalism, in all social areas, dubious diplomas, even more dubious investments, unprecedented creation of a minority caste that has more and more, at the expense of the majority that survives and has less and less, lead us to situations where we die and lose our heads for the sake of those who have stolen common properties and turned the states of the region into training grounds for cheap labor, exploitation and humiliation of man. The tragedies that happened recently in Jablanica and Novi Sad, taking many lives, are a direct product of what we agreed to, what we carry on our shoulders, what we got ourselves into. Those two cases of mass deaths of people, due to the fact that those in whose hands we have so carelessly entrusted our lives have become so separated from the basis for which they should exist, are what bring us all together to the wall behind which the whole abyss of horror is hidden and questions. Has it really become impossible to fight for something more worthy, have we given up on the fact that torrents due to illegal quarries take away our houses, that concrete canopies fall on our heads, and we will just die and continue to put our heads on a tray? How many lives do we need to lose in order to one day wonder where we are and where we are going.
