Let's take, for example, the first one among us who makes himself known a little from Andrić's wedding, a little from the television studio of his choice and increasingly from Instagram.
It gets so much publicized that even the few normal media no longer call it an interview or a conference, but an "address". Well, maybe that's fairer.
He says he doesn't need anyone's love. He needs the respect of the people, he says, but only after he has not been in power for ten years.
This goes against his plan to be in power forever. Since he cannot live at least two or three parallel lives, he will not choose to test this respect of the people but to hold on to power and force as long as he can.
His entourage will defend him while he holds on, thus defending his appanages, tenders, armchairs and bon vivants. When it no longer works, they will look for other arrangements in order not to go to Zabela, and finally leave the first among us to the judgment of the people.
"I am fighting for a political legacy, to write in history who built the country, the cities, the economy, who brought back the Cyrillic alphabet," said the first among us.
What kind of person thinks about his "inheritance" before retirement? About entering "history" even? Perhaps the same man who, at fifty-something, is still happy when he is falsely declared the best student in history.
But what will the "people" say? Not ten years after Vučić, but the day after Vučić? What do the "people" say now? In the progressive dictionary, who is "the people who don't want" today?
For example, people show up at intersections on Fridays at 11.52:XNUMX. It's not the whole nation, of course, it's not even massive. But the people are present!
That angers the government. "This is not our people! We don't need people like this", they shout like the town cop from "Three Tickets to Hollywood".
To a significant extent, government is based on what other people create. "A real, better, more beautiful people. A nation that knows how to listen, to love, to respect the government. Who knows who he created and to whom he should thank for existing", continues the town cop.
That progressive people, looking at regime frequencies for more than a decade, is getting dangerously close to the lobotomy needle. He is forced into buses and rallies, into capillary voices and Bulgarian trains with a sledgehammer.
Then again, when you have to volunteer for counter rallies and disrupt blockades - there is no one. Not even a lady who falls into a frenzy because she loves the president more than her son, not a single pensioner to explain to him how the golden age is, not a small entrepreneur who flourished.
Even this new, progressive people does not seem to be true and good enough and does not know how to listen, love and respect the government, nor does it think that it should thank that government for existing.
That is why the role of the people is taken over by progressive officials according to Fig. along. and a few paid brawlers-leisureers of lower intelligence. They pretend to be citizens and argue with people in roadblocks, push, insult, threaten to run over cars.
In general, mimicry is the method of this government. They have fake citizens. They created a new media scene, a mountain of cable channels.
Some analysts criticize us? We will come up with better and more beautiful analysts! We have our professors and intellectuals of all types and profiles, and we will produce new ones at our private universities that we also have! We have our own actors, athletes and writers!
But that masquerade is slowly reaching its limit. The people are hard to imitate though.
Hundreds of experts and institutions call for the General Staff to be protected from excavators, big capital and international corruption. The rectorate of this real university is threatening a strike. The lawyers are on strike because of a completely third thing. The teachers are in an uproar. The party directors of the theater are angry that the actors are reading the proclamation from the stage. Young people block colleges.
And more - children! They come out of some schools to remind about the canopy. Even this regime must not be angry with children, so it complains that children are politically abused. Teenagers who do not listen to anyone are imputed to be mere puppets of perverse oppositional teachers.
It will go wrong for the regime. They cannot invent better and more beautiful children because these are so good and beautiful. There are no spare children. And they fought as much for our future and, especially, for their children!
Disobedience is contagious. The town cop didn't know that, he thought that everything was treated with a baton. Our current ruler thinks that everything is cured behind the scenes, with a parallel reality, with the creation of a new nation.
If he is really thinking about his legacy, going down in history and how the people will remember him, it is not easy for him these days.
