It would be truly wonderful to wake up one morning and not have to comment on what is being served to us in the kitchen of the governor of Laktaši. I am not saying that reality will be less complicated and challenging after him, but the amount of foolishness uttered in his panic attacks due to the necessity of saving his own skin surpasses common sense and arouses a feeling of disgust that overcomes every other thought. When the history of this present time is once written, a whole cabbage patch will be able to be made of the dishonor and lies he uttered, with which he contaminated this space, and it will certainly be a chrestomathy of the blackest terror of the brain that this nation has ever experienced. No one has so consistently stretched the minds of the population with his burlesque performances, so frenetically repeated what even a dog with butter would not eat, but that was the case with him.
The government turns a man into a complete demon, blackens every spark of humanity in him, and pours out of him as if from some grotesque machine for the production of social horror. The struggle for survival in positions of power nullifies everything else, which is why he is still, no matter how much his end may be in sight, a danger to us, the end of which will have to be survived without serious upheavals. In other words, we should not be too optimistic in the sense that, after the governor finally steps down from the usurped positions and when his omnipotence falls, everything will suddenly be better and different. After that end, we are left with many questions to resolve, a lot of work to clean up the damage done, so that at some point we can reach a position where we can build a community that will not rest on ethno-national fear and the desire to use it as the only political weapon. It is necessary, I believe, to work dedicatedly in all parts of this country to ensure that something like this never happens again, to create models in which the government will not be a lever for criminalizing and enriching one family at the expense of hundreds of thousands of others who barely exist, paralyzed by warmongering narratives and manipulation.
And I would actually like to give up writing about him now, because he should already be sent to the dustbin of history, as a failed project, as a Frankenstein's creature that we have allowed to regress for two decades, but as painful as that may seem, it is important to record the lengths to which he is ready in his desperate attempt to keep the leaky boat on which he is increasingly difficult to float through the murky waters of this country afloat. Although repeatedly dealing with his character and (in)actions seems pointless and disastrous, a person cannot just remain immune and pretend that he does not exist. His actions have marked a good part of our lives, thanks to him, we live in a completely miserable country today, all we remember is unrest, darkness and misery. He, as one of the main chefs of this poisonous soup in which we as a country are floating, must remain recorded as a disaster that befell us, so that we do not fall into the same trap again. In all of this, the fact that the citizens of this country increasingly recognize the level of fraud, that is, that there is no real support base that could give him the opportunity to recover and come out of this situation as a winner, is very important. People have simply had enough, they don't care, they have been manipulated and deceived so many times that now almost nothing of substance can upset them and lead them astray.
After a barrage of nationalist cries for domestic use, denunciations, divisions, declaring traitors and various other maneuvers at the level of a charioteer, he has now taken the last steps and is trying to find his salvation in lobbying outside the country's borders. He slipped through the border crossings as a fugitive, in order to try to achieve a retreat for his downfall through courtly maneuvers. Going to Israel, and this at this very moment when the murderous, genocidal machinery against the Palestinian people is intensifying again, represents only the bottom of his doomedness and the absence of any, even the slightest sense of proportion. His statement: "Israel shows that freedom and security have no price and that a people who know who they are - do not agree to be either a target or an obedient one. Just as Israel defends itself without apology, so does the Republika Srpska defend its right to exist, decide and keep the vow of its ancestors", shows us a complete loss of compass and a fall into the very hell of political absurdity. This “defense without apology” legitimizes the crime, calls for new crimes, and comparing this Middle Eastern situation with what is happening now in Bosnia and Herzegovina is an echo of that “highway of hell and suffering” that cost us over a hundred thousand lives in the 1990s. Therefore, it is a fortunate circumstance that his clock has already struck midnight and that his power is on the wane.
