For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals/Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination/We learned to talk.
The poem begins with this quote keep talking, a glas Stephen Hawking who says the opening text is generated. The point is that they took that quote from a British Telecom commercial, which inspired Gilmora to insert it as an overture to a song keep talking.
The moment we learned to speak was a turning point in our development. But we don't use that tool in the best way. We are getting worse. We don't use speech for communication, but mainly for insulting and insulting. We don't captivate with our speech, we don't make looping and effective sentences, we limit ourselves to short tidbits, repetitions, and everything is aimed at discrediting the interlocutor as easily as possible, of course, in an insidious way, if at all possible.
And how come nothing is known in Montenegro? It is not known because everyone thinks they are the smartest and that they know everything. It is difficult for anyone to meet a person to whom they can explain something. It is impossible to convince someone of the opposite. The attitude does not change, one only believes in one's own judgment, regardless of any kind of data. Data can be found, depending on which family suits it, which trend, from Hell, Djilas do Đurišić, everything can be adjusted to suit everyone.
Why is everyone talking about Partisans and Chetniks today? Because the state has not taken a clear stance and direction. It has not. From 1990 to the present day, the state of Montenegro has flirted with all ideologies. How much has the tradition of the National Liberation War been nurtured in Montenegro? Very little, because laying a wreath once a year at the monument to a Partisan fighter in Gorica is not a reflection of nurturing an ideology. The existence of SUBNOR means nothing to the new TikTok generations. How many films have been made, documentaries (that are valid and have an effect)? Everything was done as suited each surname.
That's why we've come to this salad of thoughts and ideologies. In 2025, there's no discussion, just shouting. The point is: we don't know anything and we're very bored. When we don't know anything, it's easy to get into a fight, and when we're bored, even a fight comes across as a super exciting event.
We have combined ourselves, there is a short circuit in the minds of many, they are combining the incompatible, ideology and iconography, the NGO sector simultaneously loves NATO and Chea Guevara, Christ P. i Jova K, grandmothers and frogs. On the other hand, it's the same, you love Pavle Djurišić i Dredge, and the legacy of the communist USSR is glorified. We learn from series and YouTube documentaries, ignoring that not all history was written by a communist pen. There is something to be found in English, French, Russian, Turkish and Italian. There are us there too, but we may not be too happy when we read how it really was.
But what is striking is the absence of dialogue. No one has to love each other at all costs, but it is enough to start by listening to each other, if we do not understand each other.
And the idea of erecting a monument in Cetinje Titus is just another unfounded idea-element. It is even worse that historians are making lists of who should be given a street in Cetinje and a monument erected. Cetinje needs a change of narrative, to get rid of difficult and controversial historical figures, to turn to creation and life, so that perhaps an inspiring monument (valid, not outdated) appears To Dado Đurić or Lubards. But that requires dialogue, the kind of dialogue that is nowhere in sight. We have forgotten what Hawking said: “It doesn't have to be like this/All we need to do is make sure we keep talking”.
