You probably still remember the "outstretched right hand"?! Even after its founder and owner moved to the eternal hunting grounds.
Thanks to the August majority, that "outstretched hand" still hovers over this country today. And its still-captured institutions.
So, let me remind you: according to the indictment presented before the captured Court and Judge Radovan M., represented by Deputy Prosecutor General Vesna Jovićević, Brano Mićunović took the life of Radovan Kovačević from Nikšić on 7 October 2000, in the early morning hours, at the entrance to the Emergency Block of the Podgorica Clinical Hospital. The VJ prosecutor concluded that this was a murder “out of ruthless revenge”, because BM shot Kovačević for the previous murder of Petar Pešukić in the Podgorica Hotel, “although at the time of the commission of the criminal act Mićunović knew that Kovačević had not committed that act”. In the description of the action itself, the prosecutor stated that BM appeared in front of the Emergency Center at the moment when KBC paramedics were pulling Kovačević out of the vehicle through the open rear left door, and then at one point the same BM took action by, as the prosecutor concluded, "firing three projectiles from an unknown brand revolver cal. 38 special in the direction of Kovačević Radovan, causing him life-threatening injuries."
Later, Vijesti and Monitor would write on many occasions about the process that was symbolically described as “the case that buried the Montenegrin judiciary”. Suddenly, everyone played dead, so the eyewitnesses, collaborators of the captured system, had no choice but to state at the main hearing that they had not actually seen the accused Mićunović holding a gun in his hand and shooting. They had only “arrived near the entrance to the Emergency Block and was moving around”. Only witness Okica Mujović refused to forget everything and remembered “Mićunović’s outstretched right hand, in which was a gun, half-turned downwards, in the direction of Radovan Kovačević when the shot was heard”.
The trial panel of Judge Radovan (Mandić), however, rejected his testimony as unreliable. In principle, the wolf ate the donkey. Neither appeals nor revisions helped, each time the captured police apparatus, with the complicity of the captured judiciary, organized farcical trials with a known epilogue in advance - that it was impossible to reliably determine whose "outstretched right hand" was, and who, out of ruthless revenge, turned the gun down, in the direction of Radovan Kovačević, and fired three fatal shots?! As it was written in the indictment from the distant year 2000.
And that's why we're now looking at the consequences. Everything is the same, only he's gone. And fortunately, at least for now, no one has been killed. Only two wounded. In the legs, to be sure, which would mean that the "outstretched right hand" now only wanted to warn, but not to kill! Nice progress. And another confirmation that the institutions we fought to liberate during the DPS oligarchy's reign of terror can slip into "captivity" again. Except that Karađoz, the main locksmith, is not called Milo Đukanović today, but Andrija Mandić.
Namely, you remember how the people's militia of Šaranović and Šćepanović informed us on April 20 that Danilo Mandić, Karađoz's nephew, had surrendered. So that they could then boast that they had "illuminated a serious attempted murder committed against two people and that they had arrested the suspect". I was immediately suspicious, so in the first column I asked if this was a new funeral for Montenegrin institutions?! It seemed to me that in those 30 or more hours, while waiting for the UP to announce the event, there was actually more negotiation within the majority than investigation in the field. Because it was a "big fish". Or rather, the nephew of the "big fish". And a member of his security.
The very next day, it turned out that my suspicions were, unfortunately, well-founded. Miroje's lawyer (Jovanović) contacted us to announce that the shooting and wounding, miraculously, had nothing to do with Danilo Mandić! Jovanović explained to the public that there was "no evidence" against his client, and that he was charged solely with the statements of the injured parties, and that Mandić had gone to the Podgorica Security Department on his own initiative after "a rather confusing street story emerged that he had allegedly participated in some incident".
It's as if history is repeating itself, because in the case of the announcer's nephew, many things remind us of old, "quite confusing" stories. Especially if the words of lawyer Jovanović that there is no evidence against his client are confirmed. Except for the statements of the injured parties. And people are, scientifically proven, perishable goods. And just like them once, in front of the KBC, they easily get amnesia.
Which, a few days later, was confirmed by the shot Darko Perović. Unprovoked, he denied his own statement from two or three days ago, explaining that it had been coerced. And that, when he thought about it more, he did not remember that Danilo Mandić had done anything bad to him that night, let alone tried to kill him. That is why Perović, naturally and humanly, gave up on prosecuting Mandić “because there was no reason to”. Touching. And he still makes fun of us so much, together with the Mandićs, saying that he would “join the prosecution against the person who really shot him, if he is found out”. And we all know that it will be difficult to find out! Or never?!
Nor was the founder and owner of the outstretched right hand from the tragic October night of 2000. Just as Zvezdan Terzić, a person on the Interpol wanted list, who was “covered” by the same outstretched hand in Splendid for years, was never found and was delivered to the competent authorities of Serbia. In front of the captive police and judiciary. At one point, when ZT was arrested at a Sutjeska match, Veljović's police announced after a few hours that it was a gross mistake by the policeman. And they immediately found some Darko Perović who admitted that he was in fact Zvezdan Terzić. That is, that he was the spitting image of Zvezdan and that Veljović's conscientious policeman had mistakenly put him in a van.
"Danilo Mandić did not shoot me, it was the shortest of the three younger guys, no more than 23 to 25 years old, who had previously 'flashed' me at the traffic light," said witness, injured party Darko Perović, at the hearing at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office. This made Danilo Mandić's voluntary surrender and the UP's statement about the solved serious crime shaky! Which was then confirmed to us by the Montenegrin institutions themselves.
Namely, there was correspondence between the VDT and the UP, in which the former claimed that they were "informed late", and the latter that they "first notified the ODT" and that "only the prosecutor can authorize police officers to conduct an on-site investigation according to the law". In translation - our investigation has died or, at best, is not feeling well. Which is the first and main prerequisite for the epilogue to be like Bran. If you don't believe it, ask Medenica and Veljović.
Karađoz was silent for weeks, while we watched a new farce that reminded us of the greatest achievements of the captured state of Milo Đ. Today, Mandić, like Đukanović once, demands that “institutions do their job”. Cynically, even “stronger” than in the good old days of Milo. Which was confirmed by the Assembly, his, because it looks like a private one, when it announced on behalf of the Chief that the nephew never worked for his uncle. He is not in the books. Like the one in front of the KBC - he was around, near the entrance door, and then the film stopped. Which also implies that the uncle’s child is not even the owner of the outstretched right hand that shot at Perović and Turković. Even less is the “Range Rover” car he was driving that night an official one! He is not in the papers of the Assembly either. Although he was constantly there, and moving around.
"I've been in politics for a long time. Sometimes a fabrication comes back like a boomerang," Karađoz said recently. From his to Porfiri's. God forbid. But, since this society, which is flying towards Brussels at an unprecedented pace, also on the backs of Mandić and Knežević, has no room for new lies and manipulations, for a new "captured state", a new captured judiciary, an imprisoned police force, then we are left to anxiously await the judicial epilogue of the case. Which will show whether our state is again a "captured state". And if so, who contributed to this with the uncle and nephew - the UP or the VDT. Is it really possible for society to suffer a new misfortune, and that we are again watching forgetful witnesses and acquittals due to lack of evidence and farcical investigations?! Which would mean that we are again captured and that there is no path to EU membership.
But, we don't have to wait for that answer to conclude that even when it comes to capturing institutions, the current majority is a copy paste of the seemingly inimitable and unsurpassed DPS. After having already shown an undisguised desire to discipline the media, ban NGOs, ridicule international partners, and humiliate citizens, Mandić and his gang are now confirming that they can do better and more ruthlessly than DPS when it comes to capturing institutions.
That's why every story and survey committee of the current majority on the topic of professional standards, independent institutions, their whining about the "black threes", the killing and beating of journalists is a farce, because - it's obvious that they would do the same as the DPS if they had that much power. Or as Mandić himself publicly told the DP members the other day: "We have to stick together". You did well.
