Some news is missed because we are overwhelmed by nonsense. The essence is missed. Some wonderful things cannot reach the public because negative things push them out of the race for people's attention. The shortest possible time is when it is reported that a boy won a world competition, that he is brilliant and full of knowledge, that some children found a wallet full of money and returned it to its owner, and even when it does make the news, it lasts too short, and it is sandwiched between two scandals, spitting or the backbiting of politicians and businessmen.
Nothing new. People watch formula races but what they remember most are the accidents, when someone gets hurt. That's human nature, they want a spectacle, they want a show. But there's too much information, the noise is too loud. People are addicted to gossip, misery and spitting.
Statements are made, so-called open letters are sent, people are called out who studied where and how they graduated from college, and they make excuses to each other like children, talking about when they took what exams, how long they spent in class, and how much effort they put in and how much praise they received. Politicians pat themselves on the back, only to cry, proving how dedicated they were to their studies, and only to bring deans and professors as witnesses to their college days. They embarrass themselves in their attempt to elevate themselves.
Everything is news and nothing is new. What would you say? Rain Although it was quoted in Montenegro, it is worth repeating: "Banality is as indestructible as a plastic bottle."
The constant is “Chetniks and Partisans”. It seems that without one there is no other, in our 2025, if you revive one, you have to revive the other. It's just that both are being pulled out of the drawer by the wrong team with the wrong intentions. Everyone wants to be the role-holders, to lean on old ideas because they don't have any new ones of their own. There are no new ideas, which is why we keep talking about Chetniks and Partisans. That's the catch.
There is no resurrection without death, we misunderstood that verse. We don't know what we are vampirizing, people or movements. The only thing that matters is that the news is created, happy. Just to fry the people. Shows are organized, materials and documents are waved around, discussions are held about whose grandfather dug where, under which tree he sat, who hid whom behind the corner, the tree, who set fire to whose haystack, house and family. Banality in its purest form.
And now for some other news, let's talk a little about turtles. There's a reason for that. Turtles are a symbol of longevity, wisdom, and reliability, and the shell symbolizes safety and resistance to unforeseen dangers. Some cultures also consider it a talisman, associated with peace, justice, modesty.
A few days ago, a loggerhead turtle was injured in Boka near Prčanj (Caretta caretta). Her skull and dorsal shell were cracked. It looks like she was hit by a watercraft. In other words, she was hit with all her might by some guy who stepped on his beloved vessel. That turtle is a strictly protected species, but it's all for naught. We're too fast for her. She came to the surface to get some air and that's what she got.
If the turtle is a symbol and if this happened to it, it happens to all of us. Symbolically and actually.
