If in Serbia the professionals took matters into their own hands - which is of course an absurd assumption - maybe things would go better for us
Resting SFRJot was the promised land of amateurism of all origins and colors, and I, in my youthful (and then not so youthful) naivety, vehemently reproached it, considering that the generous subsidization of KUDs, dilettante theaters, clubs of worker-poets and peasant-painters. .. and so on undermines professionalism, but - as usual too late - it turned out that encouraging and supporting dilettantism was a short sidjimak by which the state kept amateurs away from professionalism, serious art and serious business in general.
The SFRJot state, however, did not support the most dangerous (and the most numerous in Serbia) variety of dilettantes - amateur politicians, and that's why these guys - when the SFRJot disbanded and when their five minutes came - took revenge on the state by thoroughly destroying it and in record time. turned into an Eldorado for slobs and mutikas.
Namely, there is a rare Serbian beast who is not convinced that he is an expert in football and that he would be the best coach of the national team, but even rarer is a Serb who is not XNUMX% convinced that he knows everything about politics and that he is historically destined for the position of president, prime minister , foreign or interior minister, state secretary. Or at least - if all else fails - the head of the local office.
Since the introduction of the multi-party system, former secretaries of the SKS Municipal Committees - who in the meantime have become nationalized (in every sense) - and self-confident, avaricious and glory-loving dilbers (many of them decorated with the title of Dr. ) whose ultimate reach in any serious state could be the head of the local office.
If you are wondering why the fifth of October failed and why the sixth never dawned, I will draw your attention to the fact that of the many DOS leaders, only two - Čović and Duško Mihailović - had experience in state administration, and that all the others were mere amateurs who state affairs - admittedly with less noise and a bit more style - conducted in the same way as those who are leading them deeper and deeper into ruin today.
It is, for example, an expression of total dilettantism (which results in the loss of the little bit of prestige of the state of Serbia) hysterical lashing out at the government of the Republic of France due to the decision of an independent French court, but let's put our hands on our hearts and ask ourselves whether minor dilettantism was the intention - on luckily, it was not put into action at the last minute - to send a note of protest to the State Department because some stand-up jerk made a tasteless joke about Serbia on some local television in some American neighborhood.
If in Serbia the professionals took matters into their own hands - which is of course an absurd assumption - maybe things would go better for us. But it is unlikely that it will happen. MIP is much more profitable than KUD, although with Dacic it functions like KUD.
