So all these stories about names actually carry (also) other meanings. It's always like that with libraries. Again, it's not wise to turn the issue of libraries into populist entertainment. If there's a fire, books are the first to die. From Alexandria, teachings come first.

Naming is a form of - appropriating the world, always. What you have named, you have conquered, you believe. That's how man functions. That's why rules are important... But, above all, there is something perverse about the idea that an exemplary library is named after a man who was illiterate for two-thirds of his life.

Again, perhaps that is precisely why it is the right name. And Montenegrins, historically speaking, have been illiterate for most of their existence. In that sense, the good Marko would probably be ideal for the name of the library.

But, the Podgorica library was the Radosav Ljumović City Library for more than sixty years, and who has the right to retroactively erase its identity?

Radosav Ljumović was a talented poet, a tragic figure of a dark and chaotic era, one of those knights from all over the world who went to Spain to defend the Republic and oppose the coming fascism. He was on the same side as Hemingway, Orwell, Mate Zalka...

Radosav Ljumović and his generation “literate” Montenegrins for all time. It was during this generation that literacy finally overcame orality, for the first time in Montenegrin history. And whenever that happens, it is a great day in the annals of every European nation.

But, look, the miracle is the homeland: a man died in Spain, his grave is unknown, but in his homeland, they still dig up his bones.
