Ethnic cleansing and nostalgia

If she had been in Slobodan Milošević's place in 1998, Snežana Paunović would have cleansed Kosovo of Albanians. This person, who spoke to Kurir about the begun but unfinished undertakings in the history of Serbs, is a minister in the government of Đuro Macut. In her suffering from the unrealized ethnic pogrom of Albanians, Paunović called for help the possibility of being an incarnation of Milošević in the less glorious past and doing what he did not. It's not that he didn't want to. He didn't have time.

Minister Paunović carries Slobo's political genes with her, and she came to the government from Dačić's party. That group long ago merged into the SNS, lost its distinctive features and is gradually burning out. Paunović presents Milošević's unrealized ideas about a pure Serbian Kosovo, indirectly pointing to his lack of strength and determination to do what had to be done. And because of that, she explains the utopia of personality transfer and regrets that she is now not the same as he was then.

In her time machine, Paunović somewhat bypassed important points from the sad myth of the holy Serbian land, but she tried to evaluate the role of the leader (herself) in the unrealized criminal idea. Many ideas and crimes were realized, but the minister in the government of modern Serbia suddenly clearly sees that Milošević did not do everything that had to be done. And all that was needed was that last step.

Where does this monstrous lament for cleansing the past suddenly come from? That past in Serbia is not over, but some processes related to Kosovo are nevertheless irreversible.

The minister, originally from Peja, says that she would not mark her life's work with liquidations. All Albanians would (forcibly) go to their native countries (!). These departures are not possible without expulsion and deportation. The terrorists would, of course, be physically destroyed, and everything would be ended reliably and cleanly. This is where the origin of Snežana Paunović's sadness and anger lies, her public sick leave in Kurir for an unfulfilled national project.

Macut's (Vučić's) minister, in a sudden national-chauvinistic outburst, has placed the key thesis of the final solution at the center of things. Nothing else hinders the idea of ​​Kosovo being the heart of Serbia, except the Albanians who live there. No one counts on them whenever there is talk of fate Serbian Kosovo.

That would certainly be the central theme of the Serbian world in which there is no room for others. The current ruler agreed to everything in order to supposedly give nothing, and from that chaotic political philosophy arose the bandit-terrorist campaign led by the rascal Radoičić. It was an objective portrayal of the new Kosovo heroes, perhaps the last disastrous attempt by the supreme commander of the army, police and gangs to do anything for history.

All that happened and made the new history of Serbs and Albanians a terrible experience, and political solutions a long dramatic agony, did not extinguish dreams of a more efficient past. The minister's memory of unfinished business is a reliable sign that the delusion about the efficiency of great crimes has not yet evaporated from some minds.

It seems that there are few people in Serbia who are ready to face reality. Instead of empty declarations, pathetic curses of guslar evenings and invocations of romantic warriors, it would be better to help Serbs and Albanians live in that area that has been killing people for decades because of possessions, hatred and the delusion that they cannot live together. All of this requires the unattainable: reason.

Nostalgia for ethnic cleansing that was not fully implemented, and which Minister Paunović publicly preserves as her life's defeat, indicates a serious darkening of Serbia and the continuation of general disintegration.
