In one country, there lived a man who threw stones at a house every day. He targeted the roof, the windows, the owner, and the household, claiming that the house was built by the secret police, that the masons were paid from the local community president's briefcase, and that it was designed by a man whose architectural style and taste were similar to that of the famous architect Sekula Drljević.
One day, the family invited him to the ceremonial hall and awarded him an order for the development of construction. When asked why, they replied that this man had shown a lasting interest in architecture.
"Truth is not the property of any man, it is not a tool we use to affirm ourselves and which we use as needed for certain purposes, and least of all it is a weapon with which we defeat others," they said on that occasion.
Thus, the editor-in-chief of the ALOonline.me portal, Vladimir Vuković, received the medal of the Holy Great Martyr and Victorious George from the hands of Metropolitan Metodije of Budimlje-Niksic for his love for the Church and witnessing to the Truth. Because someone who has been targeting bishops with the most serious accusations for years cannot be accused of not being concerned with the Church. Even the persecutor shows a lasting interest in the persecuted.
It's just that, it seems, in some societies it is called a sick obsession accompanied by slander, insults and unproven accusations, and in some such combined disorders deserve a first-degree decoration. It is therefore worth recalling how Vuković on January 13.01, 2017, testified to the truth in his author's text "Christmas Epistle, Colorful Saint Sava and Amfilohije's Provocations". Let's highlight the most interesting parts:
1. In fact, let's not be mistaken, on the church level, Amfilohije and Joanikije are just extended arms of Milo Đukanović and his DPS, on the ground.
2. Amfilohije and Joanikije are just quick and active DPS cooperators on the church level. What would our people say – and after UDBA again UDBA. Or what Amfilohije tells us and loudly tells us with his actions and intentions – from the cup of Montenegro to the cup of the Autonomous Montenegrin Church. It is true that the cup is small, but the black Broz and neo-Montenegrin sediment at the bottom is so noticeable on the mustaches of both bishops from independent Montenegro. Or maybe, even those supposedly great fighters for truth and justice, Amfilohije and Joanikije, overnight, after a few suitcases with euros from the Government of Montenegro, became fond of a neo-partisan song… Comrade Milo, we swear to you, that we will never deviate from the cup of Broz.
3. When, glory to God, on January 22, by the Will of God, it was decided that Metropolitan Amfilohije would not be the new Serbian Patriarch, but that the former Bishop of Niš, G. Irinej (Gavrilović), would become the new Patriarch of Serbia, the vain and soapy dreams of Metropolitan Amfilohije about the white panakamilava and the patriarchal title collapsed like a house of cards. His greatly increased vanity and lust for power did not allow him to not show his clearly expressed anger and disappointment the very next day, during the Holy Liturgy, when the former Bishop of Niš, G. Irinej, officially became the Serbian Patriarch. Everyone who watched the TV broadcast of that Liturgy saw the wrinkled and frowning face of the disappointed Montenegrin, and soon the new autonomist Amfilohije. Perhaps even then, the vain Amfilohije from Moraca was devising plans for appropriate revenge?
4. In this respect, Metropolitan Amfilohije somewhat resembles his infamous brother in vanity, and fellow Moravian Sekula Drljević, who, when he was not elected minister in Belgrade, went to war against everything that was Serbian-unifying. Amfilohije may have thought: If a white pana cannot do it in Belgrade, why can't a white pana in Cetinje or Podgorica?
Therefore, Metropolitan Methodius should be asked a few simple questions.
Were the late Metropolitan Amfilohije and Methodius' predecessor on the Budimljan-Niksic see and the current Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Joanikije, the extended hands of Milo Đukanović?
Did they receive suitcases with euros?
If so, where are the suitcases, who carried them, how many were there?
If they are not, why is the man who wrote it being rewarded precisely for his faithfulness to the Truth?
Does Metropolitan Metodije also believe that Metropolitan Amfilohije was the churchman Sekula Drljević who, due to not being elected patriarch, began to take revenge on the Serbian Church? If he believes so, let him say so publicly. If he does not believe so, let him explain what part of the slander exactly counts as the spiritual and moral good of the community.
Perhaps, however, the matter is much deeper. Perhaps in Vuković's version of reality, Saint George is not the victor over evil, but rather a poacher who illegally killed a member of an endangered species.
So it could easily happen that Vuković one day receives the Order of the Holy Dragon precisely for her fight against St. George, or for protecting the rights of endangered dragons. The charter would state that the decoration is awarded for consistently testifying that every dragon has the right to life, dignity, habitat and, of course, two suitcases of euros.
After all, in a world where a man is rewarded for his love for those he called udbas, mercenaries and schismatics, nothing is impossible. A lie can be proof of the Truth, a stone used to break a window is the greatest sign of love for a stone-built house, and killing a dragon is a fight against the preservation of the biodiversity of Serbian lands.
Until then, the medal will shine as proof that slanders do not need to be retracted, proven, or atoned for. They just need to sit around for a while, stink up even more, and they deserve the medal.
Then it is no longer slander, but a "sacred" tradition.
And when Saint George is added to it, it turns out that the only witness to everything was – a dragon.
