The exhibition "The Imprint of Time - Stećci in Montenegro", by academician Anka Burić, will be opened today in the Montenegrin art gallery "Miodrag Dado Đurić" in Cetinje, at 19 pm. The curators of the exhibition, which can be viewed until August 5, are art historians Ljiljana Zeković and Ljiljana Karadžić. The exhibition will be opened by the president of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, Dr. Dragan Vukčević.
The exhibition is the result of several years of artistic and field research by Anka Burić, and is organized by the National Museum of Montenegro and the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts. 53 works - frottage - archeography, a large number of documentary photos from the field, as well as a studio scientific and artistic publication containing, among other things, diary notes of the artist, studio texts by Ljiljana Zeković, Miško Šuvaković, Mitra Cerović, Ljub Gligorijević and Julka Marinković will be shown.
Anka Burić graduated in graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, in the class of prof. Hozo Dževada, specialized at the Academy of Výtvarných Umení, in Prague, in the class of prof. Ladislav Čepelak, and she received her master's degree at the FLU in Belgrade, in the class of prof. Branka Miljuša. He is the winner of many important national and international awards, as well as the biggest Montenegrin award - the Thirteenth of July Award. He has the status of a prominent cultural creator.
