"I'll tell you a story" is the name of the exhibition of paintings by Hana Mirkov, which was opened last weekend in the exhibition space of the JU Museum and Gallery Tivat.
"Hana's specific painting expression is recognizable not only in this city and country, but also abroad. Each of Hana's works is a separate illustration of an event, legend, specific part of the city, tradition, situation or some universal value. According to the motifs that he places in the picture like a scenography, even those who do not know the legend, story or landmarks of a city, can get to know them through her pictures. Of course, Hana's sensibility for choosing topics and motifs arouses positive feelings in the viewer," said Jelena Bošković, director of the JU "Museum and Gallery", opening the exhibition.
She pointed out that the inspiration for the 25 exhibited works in acrylic, drawing, combined technique-pencil, ink, pen, came to Hana while reading the book "Ancient Bassoon" in which the famous Tivat journalist and publicist Mašo Čekić sublimated numerous stories and interesting legends from of the history of Boka Kotorska and the former way of life of the inhabitants of the bay.
"The story I told in these works is colorful, displaced from the expected context, makes us who we are and inspires our lives with new energy. This great book with wonderful stories really encouraged me to create because while reading the images came to me by themselves and I just had to realize them in this way," said the author, Hana Mirkov.
Mirkov was born in Split in 1989. She graduated from high school in Cetinje in 2008, where she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts. She continued her education at the Accademia di belle arti di Bari, Italy. He lives and creates in Tivat. She is a participant in numerous collective and independent exhibitions, both in the country and abroad, as well as dozens of colonies in Montenegro and Serbia. She has been a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro since 2012.
