The National Library "Njegoš" from Nikšić has enriched its book collection with about 50 titles that it received as a gift from Matica Montenegrin. According to Jasmina Nikčević, these are valuable publications from different fields - linguistics, history, sociology.
"This is not the first time, since Matica Montenegrin, which has existed for 28 years, has handed over its valuable publications to numerous institutions in this city," said Nikčević, in front of Matica Montenegrin.
She pointed out that publishing is one of the most important activities of Matica, whose mission is to "preserve, develop and continuously promote the cultural identity of Montenegrin and all peoples living in Montenegro".
The director of the library, Renata Bulajić, thanked for the donation and pointed out that the cooperation with Matica Montenegrin has been intensified in recent years, that they jointly implemented numerous projects, and that the library received from them "golden titles that are sought after" on several occasions.
She also said that this institution cooperates with many non-governmental organizations and that they are always happy to cooperate and enrich the fund.
