The book's editor and organizer, the writer Miraš Martinović, Mirka Zogović, who signs the proofreading and proofreading, and the young writer Tijana Rakočević, will speak at the promotion. The design of the cover and the book was done by the Montenegrin artist Dimitrije Popović. The promotion is organized on the occasion of celebrating May 21, Independence Day and 15 years since the restoration of Montenegrin sovereignty.
The first edition of the book "Articulated Word" was published in 1965 by Prosveta - Belgrade. Until now, selected works and selections from the works of Radovan Zogović have been published in Montenegro, but from the first edition until today, the poetry book "Articulated Word" has not had a second edition.
In the preface of the book, Martinović wrote that this edition consists of verses that were "sculpted by the mighty river of time".
"At the beginning of the XNUMXth century, Radovan Zogović was born. The poet will deal with a fraught time, with events that marked him, and were significant, in a historical and any other sense. Great poets best feel the spirit of the time in which they live, articulating it through poetry, leaving deep traces and universal messages for the coming centuries and the people who will be born.... In the work of Radovan Zogović, poetics and ethics found the most beautiful synthesis. "The 'articulated word' consists of verses - the beluki carved by the powerful river of time, and the poet, deeply immersed in its whirlpools, from where he captured," writes Martinović.
He goes on to add that Zogović is one of the poets that "we can refer to", as well as invoke.
"When a nation finds itself in danger, and there have been such examples in history, by some internal law, by necessity itself, it calls upon its great poet, aware that the being of the nation lives in his work. Zogović is a poet whom we can call upon, whom we can refer to. The Montenegrin people were historically fortunate to have given birth to Radovan Zogović after Njegoš," concludes Miraš Martinović.
